I dont like the mods. They arent schematically balanced and crash on each update.
Just use mods from people who do the upkeep and balance your experience yourself.
-"Psych Ward" was pretty fun, and is a decent deal at $6. New prisoner type, new challenges.
-"Island Bound" was a buggy, broken mess, not worth the $10.
-"Going Green" I haven't played, due to the broken mess of "Island Bound".
the psych ward content was mostly a rehash of stuff developed for the console in the past
also a seeming lack of the theory of mind
Psych Ward's insanity mechanic is dysfunctional and ugly to look at in-game. Unless you really want to play an insane asylum, avoid it.
Island Bound completely defeats the purpose of an Island Prison by letting prisoners simply swim away... So all the DLC does is give you less building room to use.
Going Green is a joke of a DLC. Farming completely breaks the game's balance(and makes forestry + workshops worthlesss), allowing you to make an unbelievable amount of money without even having any prisoners.
The newest DLC coming out is just a few new reforms(standing around in a room for a few minutes) and a diner/bakery... Yes. In a prison game they added a diner and a bakery. What.
Why won't they make DLC about real prison issues, like staff corruption and abuse? How about assigning custom equipment to guards and sectors? Who knows.
And the most important: why don't they fix these bugs that already were there and the ones they're creating?! After a lot of time I started playing again, but it doesn't seem to be better at all. Paradox should think in the product before just getting money $$$.
Meanwhile it's questionable if some people at Peedix can demonstrate reading comprehension. so yeah. Don't expect that to happen.
I still say the DLC is overpriced. But I bought the "Going Green" dlc on sale; what folks said about it is true. But it is more content for a decent game. I was pleased with it (for $6).
