Has prison population been capped?

I have added yet another cell block (dormitory) and the total capacity did not increase when I designated the space as a dormitory.

1. how much is the capacity currently?
2. is the new dorm fully functional and properly coloured?
3. How long have you waited?

it can take time for the game to reanalyse all the map stats, especially on larger maps and weaker CPUs. saving and reloading a save can help in various things of such nature too

The current total is 592. If I remove the designation from the newly built Max wing which I have not opened for prisoners yet it fall almost immediately to 492. I am using a dormitory for the Max area. I then build a supermax that I was setting up a dormitory for 40 more prisoners. When I designate it as a dormitory, the capacity number does not increase by another 40.

There are no warnings on any of the dormitories. All criteria are met, according to the game.

Desginations are correctly set.

I have waited for minutes, which is very abnormal. When I remove the designation from the dormitory that is more than twice the size the change in capacity is within a few seconds of game time.

dorms need 6sq's per prisoner to count the bed

Which is lame. Stack them TIGHTER. Space is a privilege.
