CCTV cameras looking through walls

The cameras still can look through walls it seems. I mean it's nice for us but not very realistic ;-) Is there a plan to change this?

As far as I know, it seems pretty unlikely as the final major update has passed, and now Introversion is working on another game and will only do bug-fixes as updates on this game, I believe.

This is on purpose. Guards can see through walls too.

It's a matter of convenience. Imagine what you'd have to build otherwise.

1. A CCTV monitor supports only 8 cameras
2. If you want to survey a cellblock you'd need approximately one camera per cell

I think you can already see where the calculation is going.

3. You would have to link every camera to a monitor manually, there is no auto-connection in the game.

In terms of realism, the cameras are very far in the back of the priority-bus.
