Why have fancy doors?
This may sound like a really stupid question, but why have fancy doors? Anything above staff doors seems overkill to me. Why even have jail doors on cells? Because I have never seen a prisoner try to just escape, and I always have Max Sec prisoners. They only ever try to dig to escape.

Then dont use them. Use regular doors if thats what you want.

Pretty much what No said.
If you keep needs satisfied and are fortunate enough to not get many instigators, you may be able to get away with it forever. But, if you ever have a riot, lockdown would be useless, and all those staff doors will be kindling for a bonfire.

I use standard doors on all my cells without a problem. Barred doors for higher security areas and Staff doors for staff areas.

The prison I'm playing with now has two, 200 inmate Dorms. Easy to run with Low or Normal prisoners but a bit harder with Max. Each Dorm has one large barred door which is locked open normally. When they leave the Dorm they are outside.

Legendary prisoners are keen on breaking down doors. Jail doors can only be opened by guards, while prisoners can piggyback off of a worker or cook exiting through a staff door.
