How many Radiators?
What's the effect range of radiators? Do I need one in every cell? Do I need to manually turn on/off boilers so it doesn't get too hot in the cells if I have a radiator there?

Radiators never Overheat cells. They put out a set temperature of... 25°C? I am unsure, I don't use Temperature. It's a useless mechanic (personal rant)

Use the Logistics - Temperature view to see. It's is just a basic fluid dynamics system. Radiators and other heat sources produce heat and it "flows" from the source to cooler areas, meaning far away places are not as hot (at first) as closeby sections.

Walls have slow heat transfer rate, windows and doors are much faster.

This is the update related to the introduction of thermodynamics. (Possibly slightly out of date)

Meaning:
Depends on the size of your cellblock.
Depends whether you put them central, at edges or corners
Depends on the number of doors and windows
Depends on the exterior surface area

One per cellblock or big room should be enough. They are pretty effictive. You dont have to turn them off, as they dont overheat the prison.

Yes they do. Put a radiator in every cell of your 40-cell prison, and watch the temperature rocket over 86F. Did this myself, problem stuck around until I reduced the number of radiators to 3.
