cant start drug addiction treatment

i have an infirmiry with a bunch of chairs and medical beds and it just wont start.

You need Work time in your regime for this program. 2 hours in a row minimum for alcohol, or 1 hour for drugs. School lessons take 3 hours Work time in a row.

Drug treatment uses Work time, not Free time. Also just because you have the room and even time slots doesn't mean prisoners will start going. There has to be a need/interest for it first. As time passes, the needs will come.

Can you make you prisoners have a need/interest for something or do they just have a need/interest?

You can mod new needs, but only fresh prisoners arriving in the prison will have that new need. Already existing prisoners won't. Some examples are evacuation and barbery.

Do you have micromanagement in the Bureaucracy window? I'm trying too and I realized I didn't have it.

i have work/freetime on most of my schedule, i have many sessions scheduled, the problem for me is they just dont go, i dont know how to get them to go, they just overdose in their cells at night and die.

Is the room they need a staff only room? Infirmary, psychologist office, common room.
