1) why the hell would this game need graphical options? your computer sucks if you need that
2) there is barely any hotkeys
3) there is no music sooo
4) other companies fault
1)all PC games should have the options
2) hot keys or not all pc games should have rebindable keys end of story.
3)yes ther is
4)no its the devs fault.
1)there would litterally be no change in high to meduim to low, it is litteraly just drawing
2) the only real keys are w,a,s,d
3) there is little to no music
4) introversion allowed other compaines to port their game because they dont know how, i think it is dumb that there is dlc on consoles but, other compaines developed the dlcs
For 2, that's an opinion, not everything needs rebindable keys, especially if the controls are very straightforward.
3, there's little instances of music in the game, the only notable ones being the riot theme and the music featured in the campaign.
And finally as for 4, you can easily just download it as a mod.
Both of you are part of the problem with gaming. its going down hill because lots of people like yourself are continuing to be accepting of things like this. stop putting up with lazy devs who cut corners and mabye some day gaming will start producing quality again.
1. Not a counterpoint. There are still things like smoke effects (which actually tank really heavily), weather and such
2. I am surprised that you were able to come up with that bad of a point. It's completely untrue and you know that there are more keys, especially in Escape Mode
3. Should still be seperate, doesn't matter "if there is little to none"
I agree with points 1-3, but point 4 is simply untrue.
Introversion has once tried to console port one of their games, which failed horribly. They admit themselves that it was their own fault because they don't know how to do that properly. So in order to avoid that same mistake with this game, they hired another company with more experience to do it. That company subsequently created their own version of the game, for which THEY ALONE have the responsibility and that goes for DLCs for that version as well.
There are many discussions about the DLCs having to be ported back to into the PC version, which in my opinion proves that many gamers today have become entitlement-kiddies that start to whine the moment something doesn't go like they want it and they don't even bother to look further into the matter before posting about it, usually flaming the devs in the process.
That is absolutely unfair and despicable in my opinion: Introversion already stated in response to these discussions that they WILL port the mental health DLC for PC and they won't just port it 1:1 but recreate it in their own version so as to better fit in with their original plan of the game. And even better: PC users will even get it for FREE! So accusing the devs of anything in this matter is just wrong.
As for the first console DLC (Day and Night or whatever it was called), they won't be porting that one for a very good reason: It features two additions to the console version, new premade maps and new wardens. We don't need new maps on the PC because the PC version doesn't have to feature premade maps at all and we also have the steam workshop for that (which is also free). Porting the new wardens to the PC version would be a major "F*** YOU" move of Introversion towards their most dedicated fans: The original wardens were not designed by the devs, but by those fans who purchased the highest tier of Alpha pre-order packages for no less than $5,000. As a thank you for that amount of support, they got to design a warden. They would be nothing special anymore if Introversion now suddenly started adding new wardens to the game.
edit: and imo not all the controls must be mappable to a keyboard, but any controls that are should be able to be changed to different keys on a keyboard
You need to educate yourself, because you sound like a 13 year old unreasonable PC-elitist.
And this comes from someone who started out in the '90s on an Olivetti, if you even know what that is.
This game is actually one of the better products that came out, and you're too preoccupied with "The PC Master Race Book of Laws" to even realize it. - Get over yourself.
2) You need to rebind your keys? There are programs out there that allow you to do that.
3) Why would you need that? Is that what makes or breaks a game for you? An in-game audio-mixer? The thing is, the sound effects and voices are important to gameplay. You can also zoom-out to lower the volume at any time.
4) Have you actually looked at the console DLC? Pre-built maps and prisons are one of the features. On Steam, you can get all the maps/prisons for free. The other thing added by DLC is additional wardens. Most of which are goofy. Psych Ward adds "insane" prisoners and some things to go with them. That's the cool part, and (from what I understand) the PC version is getting that... for free.
