Prisoners keep starving in my reception area
I have posted a similiar thread a couple of days ago (I have deleted it since, because I don´t want to stuff up the forum) and since then found some advice online which I used but I have still the same problem.

I have changed the policy about cell quality ratings. I did that because for certain crimes certain cells are not good enough. That´s why certain prisoners for lowers crimes don´t want to get into their cells and therefore don´t get transfered into one. I disabled that and now they SHOULD get into normal cells, which are less comfortable regarding their crime.
I have a holding cell nearby so these newcomers can be transfered there. I even have a solitary cell block (connected to the main prison, but as you can see in the policy section I don´t have rules that they need to go to the solitary only for murder and an attack of staff. Which rarely happens)
I don´t understand what I do wrong here... Also, two guards are assigned to the reception as well, but the prisoners keep starving. It´s so frustrating. Any help would be awesome!

Oh, and I also have a Morgue, but nobody transfers the dead bodies to that room. No idea why... They started to do so, but then stopped suddenly. I have already made it bigger because I thought it was full but now, after it is build bigger, nobody gets transfered to the Morgue. It´s so strange...

So see that 1/31 for guards, that means you only have 1 guard who will have to transport living prisoners to cells, dead prisoners to the morgue and operate any cameras or phones taps you have. If you hire more guards or remove them from patrols/stations you'll be fine,

Okay, that worked. Thank you so much!
Now they get rid of the dead bodies.
I guess I stationed to many guards to unnecessary places. What stations would you suggest btw that really need a guard? I always station them at the cell blocks. Are there more rooms which are better of with a stationed guard there?

you might want to look into the custom time of the day deployment, so guards only man certain areas when you want them, and not around the clock.

I tried using that mechanic and it doesn't work for ♥♥♥♥ and I've tried looking up how its supposed to work and that didn't help at all.

it has a high learning point and isn't well telegraphed by the game.
I usually try to correspond the numbers to various regime parts, so a certain number/color is for all Eat times and it's when I place a guard in the cafeteria for safety, but obviously they're not needed there when prisoners sleep.

Its not even about it not being telegraphed properly it just literally doesn't work doesn't matter what guard type I have selected the moment I deploy someone they are at that spot permanently so if that's exclusively is meant to be used in tandum with the patrols (which I rarely use as is) its broken.

Well, no it's not, but you need to then remove it from the numbered timeslot if you placed them in white, I believe.

I have multiple questions more now. How do I deploy snipers in guard posts? I tried to deploy "armed guards" there, but this doesn´t seem to work... only armed guards get there now, but not the intended snipers. (There doesn´t seem to be a seperate button for sniper assignments as well)

Also, how do I prevent escapes? Whenever I see an escape I search for tunnels and let the cells be searched for illegal stuff, but this doesn´t seem to help much either.

Also, how do I increase the success rate of teaching the prisoners? Is there a tip you can give me?

Also, can I change the produced object in the workshop? They produce license plates and more comfortable beds, but I have a grant, that I need to produce comfortable beds, but some of the prisoners STILL produce license plates. Can I also increase the productivity of the workshop? I have already assigned 7 out of 7 prisoners to it, but they rarely produce any beds successfully to get this grant finally done. (It takes hours to fill the percentage to 100%)

You need to hire actual snipers.

Don't have guards in SIGHT of the inmates.

I did that. But I have no idea how I can assign them to the watchpost I built. I tried to assign them there with the armed guard patrouille, but this didn´t work. (I did that because I thought that snipers are within the term of an armed guard patrouille)

They go there on their own but they have to be able to reach it meaning it can't be blocked off.

SNIPERS go in SNIPER TOWERS. You need to find and place Sniper towers.

Guard pavillions are for a guard to walk around and look cool doing it.

Aaah. I didn´t know anything about these sniper towers. Thank you so much! ;-)
