Secure door and food flap

I have supermax prisoners on permanent lock down. When guards come to deliver food they open cell door rather than use flap in secure door. Do I need to designate cell as solitary to force guards to use flap?

I don't know why you're not trying the method you described. it would only take a couple minutes :D

Thanks. If I have legendary prisoners it looks like I need to place them in permanent solitary to ensure the guards deliver food via the flap in the secure door. If I use permanent lock down, the guards open the secure door when delivering food which is what I want to avoid.

Tried it again with regular cells and secure door and with permanent lock down selected on the prisoner, the guards deliver the food using the hatch and don't open the door so all good now. Not sure what will happen when janitors come to clean the cell or deliver fresh clothes. I assume a blood bath will ensue!!

Hi - it is not the cell you set to permanent lockdown, it is the prisoner. Once you do this they wont leave their cell to go to canteen and food will be delivered by a guard
