Dog keeps hinting at tunnels but I can't find them
I know the dogs have a chance to give a false positive, but the dog keeps hitting mutiple locations alone the path and every time it crosses over. So I'm pretty sure there is a tunnel. The thing is I think I've searched ever toilet in the prision and haven't uncovered it yet. Could this tunnel be coming from any other place?

Basically it seems way to specific to be a false positive by the dogs. I've gotten false positives before and it's usually just one random flag.

You'll have to remove toilets to expose any suspected tunnels. Just searching them can fail.

Check your prisoner needs chart and see if anyone's complaining really badly about sleep. Those people are likely diggers. If you got them grouped by security level, check each security level individually to narrow it down. If you can catch the diggers at night by searching them and finding their bed dummies, it will automatically expose them, but you have to do when they're digging.

Roll call at night can also possibly expose them if your guards happen to see anyone turn up late, but this is a bit luck based.

Also try to keep tool contraband down to a minimum. They can't dig without tools. Be careful, though, wooden pickaxes and ropes cannot be detected and both count as digging tools. If necessary, do a shakedown as they they turn in for the night to clean up the prison.

I had the same problem, dog had been marking at the same spot for 20+ days.
I thought it was bugged since i searched the prison so many times and never found anything.
Then i tried something new by searching the nearby toilets to where the dog marked while the prisoner was sleeping.
And i immedeatly found it.

Btw i figure the original digger either got released or moved, and the new occupant couldn't dig, hence the tunnel not expanding for so long time.

build a toilet on one of the flags. Once its built, have a worker remove it, if theres a tunnel there it will be exposed once the toilet is gone.

lol this worked. But felt a little like cheating. I don't know why the guards never found the tunnel. I'd searched the toilet in question a few times.

As was said before: Any search by guards have the chance to fail, also multiple times (I had that same "problem" as well). I believe I read somewhere that unhappy guards fail more often. If you are convinced that there are tunnels, and you don't want to "cheat" with the toilet, the legit way is to simply order your workmen to remove/disassemble the toilets. That way, any tunnel is detected with 100% chance. You may need to remove a few, though - sometimes the most obvious one is not correct :steammocking: After the tunnel is found, you can reinstall the toilets and fix the hole.
