Plumbing pipes
I know that water can only travel so far in pipes.

If I have a small pipe from a large pipe, then turn it back into a small pipe, does that reset the length of my pipe?

It's like, OOOOOOoooOOOOOOOoooOOOOOOOOO - does the water still travel 32? And what happens when it splits?

I ask this because I don't want large pipes running under my toilets.

Water pressure decreases for every bit of small pipe that it passes through. You get no losses from large pipes. So yes, you can alternate pipe types, but you generally never need to.

Thanks, but this I already know.

I like to keep my Family Cells and Dormitories in spearate blocks to standard cells, therefore sometimes small pipes run some way and end up travelling under grass - or they travel too far for small pipes.

THat is pretty much the answer I needed. At least I think it is. Probably the closest I'll get without doing my own experimentation.
