Canteen/Food problem

So my prison worked perfect. But now all my cells say, they are not connected to the canteen and the canteen itself says that there are no people. Obviously there are people and they are all conected to the cantee...
Any idea how to fix this problem/bug?

Not a bug.. 3 reasons I can think of already...

1) this can happen if you have Staff areas in between the Canteen and your Prison blocks (it's like telling them "you are not allowed to walk the space towards the canteen because its Staff space"

----you don't have to remove the Staff Areas in between if you have them, just go to Food Destribution in Logistics and connect the Prison Block to the Canteen

2) as I said above, at Food Destribution they are not connected. This can happen if you later on decided to create new buildings or areas in between, sometimes the Food Destribution resets..

----use the same solution as 1)

But again you said that your canteen is Connected to the prison so....

3) YOU HAVE HOLES IN YOUR PRISON!!! prisoners can escape if you have holes. So it's not secure to walk the space towards your canteeen - they might escape! You get the exact same message from the Canteen if this is the reason!

----check every little Fence or Wall in your prison and make sure there no openings AT ALL..

maybe a 4th which is dumb, but it happened to me) make sure the prisoners have access to your canteen and doors in between are not Locked Close etc....

i had the same problem
1. it might be mods messing it up so save and quit
2. run it in safe mode
3. load the save game.
4. the problem should fix itself so save and quit again
5. run like normal and reload the save
this worked for me and the mods messing it up part might not be true it might just be the game

I had a hole in the fence leading to the problem that the area between cells and canteen was only allowed for staff. Fixed it now and it works

hey bro ! for an canteen be assigned for prisonner you need a "road" were they can go. for example if between your cell block and your canteen you have a place with "staff only" all yours cell block cant go eat. just removed place where they can go to share place or level's prisonner.

c est simplement une méchanique du jeu a comprendre. entre tes blocs de cellule et ta cantine tu dois avoir une piece qui est défini en mode "personnel uniquement" et donc tes prisonniers ne peuvent pas se rendre a leurs cantine. pour que tu n'est plus cette erreur tu dois avoir un chemin compatible avec leurs niveaux de prisonniers (faible, normal, supermax, surveillance, etc) ou alors en secteur partagé si tu a plusieurs type de prisonniers entre les dites cellule et la dite cantine. En esperant avoir été clair ;)
