Game won't even start

I don't know if this is just a problem with my game or what, but whenever I click play, the game won't even try to start. I have tried everything it has told me to do to try and fix it, but it ultimately does nothing. I can't even open it up in safe start up mode. It really sucks because I love this game.

Windows 10 user, same here, reinstall no go , i get an application load error 3:0000065432

It works in safe mode, but not out of safe mode

i just put 90 hours on this about a year or less ago on the same system, so i dunno.

EDIT:

i just noticed i was subbed to 3 mods, i unsubbed and still game doesnt launch so again...dunno.

Also opened up the steam directory where the game files are and manually tried launching Prison Architect64 and still get same error.

Can you guys check if there's anything in debug.txt file generated? The file should be there:

C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Introversion\Prison Architect

I solved the issue by first un-subbing from all mods, uninstall and re-install the game and than finally restarting steam. Give it a try hopefully it will work for you guys too.

Change the install directory for the paradox launcher to the game directory.

after doing what i said in my above post i simply restarted my pc and it worked after. So it must conflict with older workshop mods pre update

I don't have mods, and I still can't open the game.. (mac - I haven't played since Paradox took over, it seems...)... sucks!

Can't speak much for Mac, because I'm a PC user, but have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling it?

Windows 10, I dont have any mods, but it's only launching in safe mode. I've only played the game for like 10 minutes. :/
