Slammer Update performance
I've got a fairly large prison. It was running well enough on the clink update, easy enough to play, but after this latest update everything has slowed to a crawl. Did the new update come with worse performance? That sure would be disappointing. Well I'll check what I can on my end, let me know if any of you players out there are having the same issue.

If anything I got a boost in fps from the update. Not much but about 20 - 30 on my biggest prison

I get a solid 69fps across all saves
Hmm I've tried to figure it out but not much luck yet. It's just unplayable now, where it was a tad slow before but I could keep building. What are your prisoner and staff counts?

Aww hope this doesn't render my save unplayable I was having fun building up a huge prison..

69 staff & 420 prisoners
I have 5680 combined so different ballpark on size most likely. Anyone with large prisons let me know how you are fairing post update.

I'm not quite at your level, but have a larger prison (1400), and agreed, the game after the update is unplayable. Things were fine after the previous (June/July) update, but this one flat broke the game. There is now ZERO difference between speeds, graphics are jerky, and response to item placement is extremely slow (if it even registers). Very disappointed, wish I could go back to the previous version easily.

(Followup to previous comment): Tried uninstalling/reinstalling as others have suggested, but there was no improvement in performance. I let the game run for a little while just to see if things needed to "clean themselves up", but no joy. Pretty much ruined the game for me, hope there will be a further hotfix or patch shortly to address these issues.

700 prisoners and staff prison here and yea my game was hitting 30 fps today and it makes things very hard

I came searching to see if more were having performance issues since the update. Feels like performance tanked and right now my 1400 inmates is only getting 2-3fps. I never seen it that low before.

Oh nooooooo :( My PCs started struggling at 800-900 Prisoners before the update and I was thinking of starting a new prison, assuming it would be faster now :((((

that's sooooooo sad
Well they obviously made some poor calculations with the direction of the game, and ignored the end game entirely. It's okay I'm pretty well over the Paradox guys at this point. A few years ago Paradox seemed like a bright spot to me, big misjudgement on them. Another key metric to help me avoid ever gracing their paws with more of my money.
It's such a shame because i love the game

Same for me - 1100 prisoners and the game is more or less unplayable
No fix yet?

Paradox is ignoring all discussions saying they have flaws so problably not.
