How to Fix There are no prisoners assigned to eat at this canteen??

Do you have prisoners yet, or new prison?

Edit: If it's the staffroom canteen error, I have a mod in the workshop to fix that

It depends on where the canteen is, if its a staffroom then just ignore it or get the mod fix for it. if the canteen is for a certin sector see if there are prisoners of that sector. if there is no prisoners then just wait until they come.

All nonsense.

Your prisoners are most likely not allowed to go to this canteen for one of two reasons:
Deployment zone used incorrectly
Meaning prisoners are being blocked from traversing an area and therefor can't go to the canteen, for example a Staff Only zone.

Insecure path
Prisoners could potentially escape on their way to the canteen. Do you have a fence? Does it have holes? Are all the doors to the outside Staff or Jail doors?

Everything else that has been said is second-tier solutions.
Submit a screenshot if you have further trouble solving the issue.

Pretty sure actually HAVING prisoners to eat at a canteen is a 1st tier solution

However, from experience the majority of people who encounter that problem have prisoners, but I s'pose you're right.

Well, I know it's the simple and obvious answer, but the OP has 3.3 hours on record, so it’s the likely one as well (if not the staff canteen error).

i dont know wheather this is still relevant or not but I just had the same problem and eventually found out that my foundation for the canteen got messed up somehow. once i fixed that everything worked properly. hope i could help :)
