Security Rooms?

I haven't used these much but is having more than one going to make much difference? or is it just enough to have one big enough to house all cctv monitors? and can cctvs be used along with guard stations for more effecient coverage of prison? and if i station a guard next to monitored rooms will this be more effecient than putting guards or crtvs in every room? i presume guards won't move to another room if they are stationed but i believe a cctvs can cover most the prison then guards can patrol and be stationed in rooms where the need is highest.

Patroling vs Stationing.
Is there an effecient amount of patrols based on size of prison? With Stationing will guards move to another room to open a jail door or stay in one room and only open doors for that room?

Also is there a good ratio of guards to prisoners? Would fewer guards and more cctvs be cheaper?
Would having a dozen or so free guards be adequate for covering stations and patrols that need to rest? do i need to manually micromanage guards when they need to rest?

I know this may be a lot of questions but i'm thinking of trying to make my prisons ran more and more efeciently.

One final question can i keep a 100 prisoners and keep them under control with just 10 guards and monitor prisoner actvities with cctvs and have guards go to the scene whenever thers a ruckus?

3.5-4 guards per 10 prisoners is i think is a good ratio

thanks...I think one time guards are needed most is during intake. to prcess moving prisoners to cells faster. one challenge i have for players is running a prison with never hiring more than 10 guards and see how big and how many days they can last. and resell value of prison. starting with a fresh game no prisons sold prior that starting save. im going try this myself see how it goes.
