how to feed prisoners in their cells instead of canteen?
I built a prison whereby the regime is either lockdown, eat or sleep. No reform, yardtime, etc.

However, i noticed that the prisoners arent getting fed by the guards. It only does so when i set them to permanent lockdown instead.

Is there some other way though? cause its very troublesome to manually change all prisoners to perm lockdown :(

Actually, the way you've made your regime is bad. I know you want to have a high security prison when the prisoners can't do much, but the inmates must have their needs met. Otherwise they riot, which I'm sure you probably know.

But, 2 hours of yardtime. 1 hour of reform/freetime. Some work hours to tend to their freedom and keep them busy.

Also, no there isn't a way to feed them in their cells unless they are in lockdown/solitary. I suggest taking everyone off lockdown.

Theres outcomes to things you do, but take into consideration for changing your regime and lowering the security just a little.

dont worry the cells they have meet almost every single one of their needs. and often i like to create a hell prison whereby they riot constantly and my guards have to shoot them :)

so to have guards bring food to their cells, i must set them to perm lockdown instead of just lockdown in the regime? :(
There's no way other than putting them into Permanent Lockdown.
They'll be given meals during the Eat regime.

the only possibility to force guards feed the prisoners in their cells, is to give them punishment (premanent). But you could only build solitary cells and just a holding cell. So you know, that every prisoners that gets assigned to the holding cell, has no punishment.

as i remember the meals are brought if the food need reaches a certain point

That's also true, but I didn't really consider that due to this being an extreme niche case.

Ah, i guess i can just build cells as per normal and then starve my prisoners to the point that guards will bring them food if im too lazy to manually assign everyone to perm lockdown :D

Thanks for reminding me. Too bad there isnt a mod that automatically places every incoming prisoner on perm lockdown :(

No. I mean they bring prisoners the food if they in perm solitary/lockdown AND have the need

To assign them manually just wait until they are asleep and put the game to pauze so you can click them easily without having to hurry.

To feed them all in a large prison would require as many guards as prisoners. Because by the time one guard gets food from the canteen, brings it to a prisoner and walks back to the canteen, the Eat time will be over and he won't feed the next prisoner.
