You don't spend all your time in combo menus. That alone is worth the price of entry. The combat/gameplay is much better as well IMO. You will have to learn about all the different upgrade systems though.
you have a little goblin/droid also picking up drops so you don't have to commit 100% to collecting drops
the hp and defense upgrades actually works at lot to the point you CAN beat it without the mech (its like ultra hard mode, more boring, and a lot slower if you do).
the bg is generic though. not poo but bland.

What seems SO COOL at first, becomes just overwhelming.
Then it kind of "forces" the player to look for "good builds" on forums and things like that.
I enjoy experimenting, but when there are just so many options, you either invest a lot of time (which I didn't feel like it) or go look for an information, which I don't like as well because then the game becomes too much "cookie cutter".
And now the demo is gone, so if I wanna try the game I just have to buy it 😐
