i want it but...
i want it but all the reading i did on it made it seem that it got boring about half way through and that it got repeatitive fast

It may be the nostalgia, but I've beaten this game at least 25 times since it came out. I made a review if you want to read it. Even now, I don't feel like it's repetative, but I'm quite biased. I think it's on par with the original Fable. The combat is actually a bit deeper than the original Fables (combos, more unique weapons, use-able skills, summons).
The game world is beautiful, even moreso considering when it came out. It's a quirky little adventure, but I always feel satisfied every runthrough.

I totally agree. I've played about as many times as ^^ and I still haven't gotten bored with this game. Yeah, it's a really beautiful game and though it's much shorter than most games, it's got a brilliant storyline.
