Roadmap 2025?
Before I kept writing the below and hit send I wanted to see if there is a roadmap but all I can find about it is people ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I know it's good fun to do so sometimes but this is yet another occasion where trolling a company is effectively trolling everyone and this ♥♥♥♥ is less than helpful. Sorry if it is easy to find in some place but I currently don't have the patience to wallow through all that filth just to get to information that isn't worth the effort in the end. (and I don't want to know how much time I took writing all of that below continuing where I earlier left, thinking I could be done with it at that point, ugh...)

Initiaily took a lot from me not to go ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ here, then went to the announcement post and am now back here mostly for the above question. I'll still add what I wrote for the announcement and will add another thing I wrote in another discussion that I thought would be read but since it was just me replying and it probably taken as done I'll add that here as well, so sorry for three times the usual wall of text (and then some I guess, and this is more of a rant than usual even). I know you're obligated to add the company response and perform the usual effort of defusing (I was googling whether diffusion would make sense and yes it would but it would possibly require additional input and carried with it the implication of malice which I wouldn't want to convey because, well, company responses are...well let's not go too much into that direction. But I can certainly tell the merriam webster writer/s have fun at their jobs and I'm happy for them!) but I personally have nothing to add that would soften the blow of finishing that sentence so I'll skip that one.

Announcement regarding Chimera/relics:
It's taking a lot for me not to react awfully sarcastic since this is the perfect opportunity for every game of this kind to screw with players to the best of their (in)ability (and what would be a consistent chain of events for RAID).
Aside from the update already messing with the forge and potentially wrecking people's materials and charms because they're used to how it works but it no longer doing so (unless either fixed or people getting used to it not sending them to the correct slot when getting there from the respective quests), the update also leaves open the question for relic acquisition.
(adding my p.s. here since I just double checked a bit to be safe, the relic and forge screen on relic crafting are obtuse, it does say something about "standard" and it being related to ALL matierals from all the game, but that's mighty unhelpful. My best guess here is that crafting materials from doom tower can be a substitute for the occular masses though they will make anybody's desire of chimera crafting an obsolete joke. Though with regular crafting also being a gamble at best, it will be just in line with the modus operandi of being pitted against the odds at all times. And I can only hope that forge pass materials will not be a *requirement* for any of it, because that would be a sick joke. Dark Fae likewise. It would at least make materials of less used ones worth more IF the respective materials aren't tied to specific relic within specific groups, and gem slots are a whole other story, checking chimera relics is giving me plenty of reason to believe my initial theory being correct and broadening the rifts in the game, if any of us believes in any tpye of deity, I guess it's time to pray for this to no cause as much damage as it can. I on the other hand already look forward to the time where I fully despair and turn my back on F2P games as a whole. It can only go upwards from t/here.)

Before checking it more, I already expected to only get the occasional relic given away to players as the proverbial carrot on a stick, seeing how I'm the only person left in my Clan and the silly siege already being a bottleneck players are fed through like the lambs to the slaughter, thanks for making the game more inaccessible with that by the way, I have no hopes in getting anything from it at all. Depending on rotation I can't even get the 6,6 million damage to the frickin NORMAL Hydra and it's a struggle even if I do, no simple auto mode can do that because the player AI is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ useless trash AND ON ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ PURPOSE.
And I'm trying to calm myself down right the fudge now because I'm STUCK with the Arbiter missions as well, I'm the last person standing in my leftover clan and it has been just me to even enable brutal difficulty. Don't remember how many keys I needed when I did but at least by now I can safely use a single key for the highest tier reward there, I would require a minimum of 12 keys if the affinity change wouldn't completely screw with me. This is all hypthetical because I have yet to try and I am not keen on gambling a purchase of at least 8 keys in hopes of getting lucky with the affinity. NO THANKS.

sweet zombie jeebus I almost forgot this little disclaimer:
spoiler: yes, I know, joining a bigger clan is "easy", but if it was "just" that easy for me, *just* imagine I had the brain capacity to think of, and act on it, on my own

Alright, back to the forge, seeing how the forge both does and DOESN'T make a difference between requirements (aka "normal" and "chimera" crafts but the standard craft screen only mentions chimera parts which can only be gotten from the chimera battle making the "normal" crafts redundant joke), I fully expect another dungeon added to the game. Another dungeon, that requires very specific gimmick constellations to be able to even remotely beat it at feasible levels to not just end up with the most useless of relic scraps. So the next step is to await the to be expected nerf of the dungeon so people have had enough time to worry and potentially up their spending game which I hope will not pay off but probably sadly will. You know, just like it happened with the Necropolis and the Grove. But as I have said in the past, at least with those 2 I didn't need the nerf. Obviously it was necessary for many others so it's good it happened either way and it got me to get ahead one or two stages as well. And hey, there is a minimal chance of me being lucky enough to have a composition that can deal with...some of the affinity variants...or it'll just be the same as it has been apparent in both the Necropolis and the Grove, that my little underling champions are strong enough to steamroll the gimmick and not bother with that at all. The only reason I got anywhere in the twins tower is Ultimate Death Knight and Geomancer subverting the gimmick. Geomancer is not THAT helpful in the Necropolis but sacrificing him is usually giving me enough air to beat it, I have no hopes of getting past stage 15 as Force Champs are the backbone of my steamroll squad. Not to mention how even the supposed help of the scribbling scrambler Adelyn is nowhere near as helpful against what you're actually up against. She's getting decent mileage out of me in the game overall though so I'm glad I have her regardless. Skipping the details here and cut it short, not in the mood for further ranting AND taking myself to task over it and pulling punches.

Before I again write more than I wanted to I'll just add simpler stuff.

Though you probably still have to get to that second it wouldn't be necessary to call attention that in the first place, but while I'm here anyway...I can at least also add a link to the thing I alluded to:
This one has actually good replacement suggestions that I didn't think of for some reason, like switching the "win 1" for a simple "play 5" or something, that you can just skip and count your losses quickly. Yeah I know it's not how the people pulling the strings want it to go but if they really wanted it to work as lunatically intended, they would actually do something for it rather than walking the path of least resistance and just force feed people the quest in the first place.

I'm not sure if I saw this last time too, but it is also telling.

Obviously with both of them I mean to include the reactions to them and what other things are suggested to me as a non reddit user. What's wild to me is people actually thinking they're giving useful advice when spelling out commonplace no brainers like banning champions you struggle against MY DEER GAWD WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT?! And that's the nicest I have to say about people and their oh so helpful advice. The Adelyn one back then I'm not holding against you, my previous mention of her wasn't a dig at you as much as it might seem. I know it's just part of the company response and I also know it's good tone somehow to expet everyone to be stupid (not totally unfounded but still).

Well, colour me surprised, at least regarding the Chimera battle. If anyone else is/was as bothered by it like I was, maybe I can put som of that at ease (if you watched some guide or something, this is probably useless to you, I didn't start writing it as a guide in mind and really just as feedback on the feature...also nevermind most of the questions, double checking it, most of them are answered by the menu faq, the pre fight boss guide/trials section are what I didn't see as very helpful and mistook for the FAQ in the rest of this post. It's wild there's such a big difference. I'll go over it once more and hope I catch all of my mistakes regarding it. Still, the wording for a bunch of it could possibly use a going over...like, obviously it would be useless to have someone read stuff who doesn't play the game at all, but having someone read stuff who isn't practically living and breathing RAID could help counter at least some confusions (also a very common industry problem, like, we all know basic controls and what analogue stick does what by default, but first timers? stuff like that falls under the radar because it's TOO common knowledge, and this type of problem lingers and creeps its way elsewhere.

The boss guide is a convoluted mess, to me it would feel much simpler to compare the Chimera to the Cursed City, being like a distilled version combining everything in some form...and be done with it (but I guess the writer spent the alliteration budget way too early already!).
Though I know that would have been way too little information too, something between nothing and everything from everywhere all at once would have been nicer.
And the page says nothing about how trials specifically work, ie order of completion, do I need to do all easy trials to get the next of each? (aka easy trials 1-3 first, then normal, etc) Or can I just go through them in sequence each? (aka pick my poison, ignore easy 1, do easy-normal-hard of 2 and whatever with #3 - this option is from my pov implied but not specifically mentioned), maybe it's there and I overlooked it but *gestures around wildly*
Obviously NOT talking about trials that require doing X thing in or within all or some of a given form's turns, but just thinking about them makes me believe that some are built exactly for that possibility as they just state doing xy within 3 of its turns, so this will be good for people who have better/rarer champions covering more bases doing it all in one go.

it also wasn't specified, merely implied as far as I could tell, how rewards/additional rewards work, from what I gather though, rewards are the usual chest(s, which the descriptions in the FAQ made it sound like it's somehow much more than what we're used to with clan bosses but it's still just the chests) and "additional rewards" being the rewards from individual trials as the screenshot seemingly shows. It wasn't specified if the trials were once-a-week-each rewards, or complete-and-reap-as-often-as-you-like rewards...seeing how relics are part of trial rewards, I doubt we're being given the chance to get that more than one, so the most likely scenario once-a-week for individual rewards. Which also still begs the question whether completion carries on or has to be done in one single key use.

As I have yet to pick my first fight effectively, I can't fully confirm it just yet but at least I am somewhat lucky I guess. My first fight was a rather defensive one because I reckoned with a wrecking but ultimately found the Chimera's bites to be lacking...it will most likely be very different with trials completed, seeing how the percentage numbers spell doom in BIIIG LOOOMING LETTERS! My regulars did roughly a million damage per phase but could only do a single trial...luckily regroups are also free so I stopped after 8 million...and thanks to Cursed City I have actually kept many Champions that I normally never need but in there can get some mileage out of.

It is the predictable clusterfudge throwing gimmick after gimmick at you though. It didn't take long to figure that the best course of action is to use as few de/buffs as possible but as many as necessary (I REALLY didn't get far in the FAQ), so I guess similar to Necropolis and other things, this will most heavily be a pain in the common nuker's neck. Luckily, my very own champion roster is so bad I don't have to bother trying to build a one trick pony team, nothing against ponies though.
That said, with Ultimate Death Knight, Geomancer, Petrifya, Klodd and Vergis I covered all the gimmicks I was willing (and and feasibly able) to cover (going for perfect/veil I would have had to go too far out of my way, which thus had caused me to wail, I'm not a whale after all, is what I intend to convey, and don't worry, my word play budget is limitless, though I know others resistance to it is not). Though I guess any dedicated healer and tank will do when just facing the lower difficulty/difficulties. I just hope it works out as I have planned, but Vergis I am most unsure about because I rely on him buffing himself and it properly counting (the trial says it doesn't count *counters* but who knows what else may apply in the given scenario, Hydra battles don't say ship about THEIR turns counting for the big gulp). Most people even remotely more advanced will have Frozen Banshee readily available and powered up, if not a much more fitting champion that can do more at once...but I got Frozen Banshee rather late and wasn't in the mood passing on other champions in her favour, or Gravechiller (sic) for that matter, didn't have the resources to build a specified demon team yet either but their "unkillable" comp is popular sooo...it might be an easier pick for guided players. I do have Orn (Myciliac Priest, aka Shroom Guy, not related with Doom Guy, I presume) but the poor fella is still in the same status I got him, save for the 3 star soulstone awakening...also Petrifya is the only one in my specific team who can place def decrease on top of poison/sensitivity debuffs so ditching her would mean losing out on either as I have no substitute.

Okay, *now* I know poor AI-Arbiter said and meant the keys regenerate after 6 days, not over 6 days...and I don't know how trials and their completion do or do not work over several keys...If I don't end up disillusioned because Ultimate Chimera is handing my ass to me, I'll update this with the missing bits I had questions left over (way fewer than before since realising the FAQ isn't the boss guide). I also dread the difficulty of Chimera where somewhat steamrolling gimmicks is no longer an option and I'd have to rely on Chimera-proofing Champions...I don't have a single dedicated composition for any feature of the game, no way I can run this one through with my patchworkers, I still have to even 5-star Petrifya and get her some scrolls past basics (I did by now but time will tell whether it will have been successful). The others are doing better, Just Geomancer and Ultimate Death Knight have the mastery board filled.

One question that could only be answered by someone knowing it in advance, is whether rotations only swap affinities or trials too (FAQ implies...oh well, I forgot again)...though I'm guessing more importantly trials...because I was wondering why there was no Hex (or bomb/Heal Reduction) requirment, the answer is probably just "not YET", it would be a welcome excuse to finally build up Vildrax or Thylessia.

somewhat random side note: not sure how many characters share similar descriptions but I think none irked me as much as Sepulcher Sentinel's did, the skill description of her passive, Untouched by Death. The two half sentences swapped sound less like a confusion (unless what I took for confusion is actually the intended one, some clarity could help in either case) More specifically: "If multiple allies are attacked at the same time, will only block damage for the targeted ally." rather than the other way around, because the other way around it could be interpreted as the block exclusively working on a target ally IF several allies are attacked at the same time.
