Surely you've gotten enough flak for this but no you didn't. Seriously, aside from the obviously dumbest decision to give players an active opportunity to troll other players, letting the awarded currency NOT count for more than the lower tier currency? Wow.
And there absolutely needs to be punishment for players who keep drawing out their turns, especially when it gets towards the 20 minute sudden death zone. The player who took forever to take turns should lose in the event of time ending.
I know punishing players for being ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is unpopular somehow but asking for it can't hurt. Possibly give players an overall time they have to make use of rather than unlimited chances to fully take the 15+ seconds they get to decide how to best annoy the other player.

Hello there! In any event, we appreciate the feedback.

Crests of different materials are not mutually convertible; that's true. However, the higher your Live Arena tier, the more crests you get per victory. This way, we reward Tier progression, which, btw is a bit easier than in other PvP modes (or at least we hope it is).

We wouldn't like to shorten Live Arena battle duration because in case of high ping or poor internet connection it might severely debilitate some players. On the other hand, we appreciated you outlined the concern. We might be inclined to find other ways to address issues of that sort, but we don't really deny the potential inconvenience that you just described.

Just wish live arena crests worked like the others so "previous" upgrades were more accessible. Live arena is always a huge gamble because mostly just players who are already confident enough to compete will fight, outruling the more casual/laid back players and there's no paying it forward as there is with classic or tag arena (aka leaving up weak defenses). Plus you're pretty quickly out of bronze but winning silver is considerably harder. Not in the least because I would guess that many players will just ignore live arena after the initial reality check (read kick in the teeth AND getting your ass handed to you potentially 5-10 times in a row if you're unlucky). I know there's some more "relative" matchmaking going on in the background but pvp always sucks no matter which game it is, nothing special for this game but still. Struggling myself to even only try live arena every few days...

And there are sooooooooo many upgrades in the area bonuses that you even require bronze for that using silver for them is literally wasting a ton of resources, I'm just glad I didn't already miraculously make it to gold yet...oh gee I hope there's a second reward track for silver before I go gold? Classic arena is similarly frustrating but at least you have a choice. Only got into late silver/first gold before I got Geomancer, now it's a breeze and I'm always comfy 3200+ points (never made it into the last one so far, not evben close), let's not talk about tag arena though, much different and I never got out of bronze. Haven't tried though, not the right setups. Though I don't have any sweeping legendary bread winners or synergies, but I got some great champions. Just need the time/resources to build them up.

And yeah you could hardly deny that :P but I agree with the time limit, initially wanted to say something about the individual turns but not without concluding that it's not that necessary (which is why I excluded it in the first place), I did think of chess and other things that similarly annoy me where somewhat similar measures can be in place. Come to think of it, it's remarkable Blizzard added an overall time limit for turns in Hearthstone, but that's probably also the result of trolling rather than preventative safeguarding :P

And thanks for getting back, I know it's not exactly always fun (my sympathies btw, and my condolences to your nerves) but I appreciate it!
