Anyone have any clues on how to solve the hex puzzle?
I'm in the hex puzzle room, the one where you can light up the hexagons by stepping on them, and I can't seem to find any clues about what pattern you're supposed to make. It's looks like it's just a big empty area. Anyone have any clues or can point me towards a clue in the game?

a) It isn't a pattern to be made
b) I believe there is a ticking sound that might indicate what to do
c) There are hints in the menu when you hit escape ;)
^Might be meaning the other hex room.

I could give a blunt solution if you like, OP. >.>

Make it a backward S. Light one on the left of the top black, then the one on the right (and the one beneath that), then invert the process for the bottom (right of the bottom black, then the one on the left and one above that).

The clue for that room is in the back (pinkish) room of the Pink Colonnade up the stairs on the right, on a Japanese painting where there are Asian women playing a game depicted, I think.... there the clue is like Zaxoth says, like a letter S.

^ The "Pink Colonnade" being the third hub area, pink lighting, with the balcony with the throne on it, right? The naming for all the areas was invented by the JayisGames guys for their walkthrough, at least, I think there's no official names for areas.

Oh yes, you are right. Sorry, I have gotten used to those names, and they fit really well with the rooms. Yes it is the balcony with the throne area.

The pattern is on a painting you can look for in the previous parts of Kairo. If you look at the bottom of the painting, on a box, that is in it, the hexagonal clue to solving this puzzle and the pattern is on the end of the box. The painting is of Tradionally dressed Japanese women. I lucked out and looked and took a note before I even needed the answer, and if you aren't paying attention these things Will slip by if you don't take notes or map your travel through Kairo.
Hope that helped!
