This game is terrifying
I've played around an hour of it and I'm just mesmerized at how simple yet effective it is. The puzzles are relatively simple but it feels amazing when you figure them out, and I'm personally affected by representations of empty spaces and I must say some parts of this game have been absolutely terrifying. The monitors popping in also served for some genuine jump scares. I recommend to anyone who's not only interested in puzzle adventures, but also fans of scary games to get this.

It can be scary if you allow yourself to become immersed in the atmosphere of the game, which everyone should do to get the most out of this title.

I think this game has given me a fear of heights.

I had worse vertigo with Bioshock: Infinite. The austere, deserted alien-ness of these buildings really gets creepy after a while. I keep asking myself, "what the hell *is* this place?" The music helps a lot with that. Great game, worth the few bucks it cost and then some.

I would not call it terrifying, but I got a strong feeling of impending doom. And yes, some noises definitely can make you jump. All in all, I think this is an outstanding achievement in game design.

I don't know so much about "impending" doom; but a lot of it makes my skin crawl.

I jump whenever I hear the eerie voices in radio static. Nice ambient sounds!

I completely agree. Really letting myself get into this game was really worth it.
MY blod actually turned cold a couple times; something that hasn't happened since Project Zero 3 of the Fatal Frame series. Very cool but I don't know if it was intentional.

Easily one of the creepiest games I've played. Normally I dont like scary games or movies, (f.ex. played Amnesia only for a few minutes :p) but this, this has kept me coming back like a fly to a flame. It is so eeriely beautiful, and at the same time so disturbing and scary. I love it.

THE music JUST sent chills down my back when I got to the garden

I'm also jumping at shadows since I started playing this. Not really a fan of scary games but I am totally hooked on this game and dying to find every secret and epiphany it has to offer. Really lost about the Skylab section though, no solution online, just says that you have to work with other Kairo players to find the solution. Any insight?

OP describes exactly how I felt playing this. Got this in the Steam Sale, didn't expect (too) much, but what a genuinely great game!

Creepy game at times, but satysfying. Unusual experience. I like it.

You gotta play Tiny & Big - Grandpas Leftovers then. Kairo is gentle. T&B made me sweat like a pig, my hands were shaking and dripping with sweat and I was nervous as never.
I think T+B's fear of heights is a little different, more of a twitch thing, no?
This game, though, is inspiringly horrifying.

I also really loved this game. It has simple graphics but overwhelming at the same time (in a good sense). It makes you feel like you're exploring some ancient ruins but also feels like a dream. 10/10 from me.
