Shadow Warrior Patch 1.5.0 is live!
To check your game version: enable console (by pressing ctrl+~),(now write) _version and press Enter.

Shadow Warrior Patch Notes:

Shadow Warrior 1.5.0
- Available for Windows Vista/7/8 and above.
- Added Mac OS X and Linux support.
- Added additional bossfights with Zilla in chapters 13 and 16.
- Added ingame artbook.
- Added DirectX 11 based graphics.
- Added optimization for 32 & 64-bit build.
- Added optimization for SSAO.
- Added optimization for Mirror Effects.
- Fixed many gameplay bugs and minor level bugs.
- Fixed minor bugs for pad controls.
- Fixed minor localization bugs.
- Fixed rare crash when using alt-tab.
- Fixed rare Gozu crash.
- Fixed saving weapon fx's when using non standard katana.

Please note that version 1.5 is not available for Windows XP.

If you have already completed the game - In Shadow Warrior 1.5.0 only the initial save for each level will be available.
All your stats and upgrades will remain the same in the saves, but all your quicksaves and checkpoint saves will become unavailable.

We are sorry for the inconvenience but this was the only way to introduce gameplay changes.

Shadow Warrior 1.1.2
- Fixed a bug that caused the in-game music to stop after finishing the game.
- Fixed particle based lights rendering artifacts.
- Added an option to turn off Alienware AlienFX - in some cases it prevented the game from running (add "d_enable_alienfx 0" in your config.cfg or use it from the console).
- Fixed a bug that allowed to unlock some achievements in Survival Mode.

Shadow Warrior 1.1.1
- Additional optimization for SSAO in Ultra setting.
- Fixed a bug that caused Xing's armor pieces to become invisible.

- Fixed a crash while using gamepad in upgrade menu.

- Japanese localisation added.
- Hungarian fan-translation added (thanks to Brechler 'lostprophet' Zsolt).
- Fixed a bug that caused some of the Steam leaderboards avatars never to show.
- Loading and saving the game now works faster.

Shadow Warrior 1.0.7
- Fixed an animation bug at low fps.
- Fixed a problem with fonts when setting active profile with another language.

- Fixed a bug causing dead bodies after a fight to remain on the level forever after loading a save.
- Ammo/Medkits on all boss arenas now can be picked up by walking through them.

Shadow Warrior 1.0.6
- Saving is now disabled when player is dying.
- Fixed a rare crash when a level ends.

- 'Shadow Warrior' achievement for finishing the game now unlocks correctly on all difficulty levels.

Is it possible that this patch broke something with the Shurikens? They don't seem to disappear anymore and fly extremely slow after they hit something.

You guys are the fastest patchers I've seen in years. What the hell... I though people take vacations after game releases :D But THANK YOU so much for such a great game.

That's the fun part, you can now SEE them, before it was only looking like a hand movement xD.

A Shurikens is made to get stuck in the target. Ever saw a Shurikens keeping the same speed going in the opposite directi0on after hitting a wall anyway xD?

Can you say which chapter you are at the moment? I've started a new game in EX-Mode and don't have the problem at the moment (chapter 4) but had the problem starting at around chapter 12.

what is the 1.0.X for? isnt 1.x enough?
what qualifies as a 2.0 to these people who do this? Is there a concrete or abstract standard?

It's depend on what the patch is.

Always to the choice of the devs.


For me it's usually 1.0 to 2.0 indicate a MAJOR feature
1.1 usually mean for me a minor feature or content added.
Then 1.0.1 for examle, mean a bug fix.


But it's ALWAYS depend of the devs.

From what I understood over the years, don't quote me on it, it is the level of patching, the closer you are to a whole number the more drastic the change, if it was 2.0 then that is essentially like releasing Shadow Warrior 2.
1.1 would be a big update, as in adding a new weapon for example, or a MP map, etc. 1.5 would be adding a new boss fight and a twist to the story, you know, something BIG.
1.0.X is fixing, not remotely close enough to call it an expansion, you are still very close to the core release, but enough to be noticeable.
So it gives, jokingly, more room for the developers to fiddle around with the game, I think it even started tongue in cheek, again don't quote me on it. lol

There's a very minor bug with the completed sword. Minor Spoilers:
Once you you regain the completed sword in the Shadow Realm, only the final sword upgrade is shown as acquired in your upgrade menu.

Same here, glad to see they are keeping up with the game, too many devs are too lazy to care about QA after the game is out.

With the achieves fixed all I got left is to tackle Heroic!

Can you write exactly what you are doing - system specs and driver version would be also appreciated!
