I am playing on Hard if that makes any difference. If it does... I kinda feel like it shouldn't. It's hard enough as it is.
So, as Waking Dream says above: accuracy, damage and time are very important factors. Throughout my walkthrough I received 5 stars only twice.
I disagree, I think variety is what the score is all about.
multiple enemies killed is the same if you kill enemies in quick succession,I think it called Massacre as a bonus,so yeah it nets you higher scores
anyone noticed a slight difference in the ranking system since the start?I seem to get more 4s and 5s,I mean my playstyle hasn't changed at all but it feels like I'm getting better ratings and I don't feel that I'm performing better than before
I got a 5 star rating by blowing myself and everyone around me up with an oil barrel, explain that one, high range mathematicians.
it's not hard to please,it's just hard to perfectly please it and it's a little unpredictable
sometimes I get a 5 when I use only one weapon sometimes I get a 5 when I mix them but it seems that the game rates efficiency all above i.e. killing the demons quickly while suffering minimal damage
