Demon Bunny - Is the copy protection acting up?

OK, first (just in case): I'm playing this game with the steam key I got from the humble store. So yes, this is a licensed copy.

After playing through the first level (I'm taking my time here... I love all those little gimmicks that are hidden throughout the game) I ended up next to my car again and decided to kill the last bunny too.

Suddenly it turned into a demon-bunny that teleported to me no matter where I ran and kept attacking me (that it chose the precise moment at which the guards attacked didn't help either). I'm playing on difficulty level "casual"... and it got me. I'm not exactly the world's greatest player, but I'm pretty sure that bunnies are not supposed to kill players with 100% health on casual.

So, what is this? It didn't re-appear when I loaded my last savegame and killed it again (it dies like a regular bunny).

I remember that SeriousSam3 had some kind of Über-Monster that would appear on unlicensed copies (before you ask: yes, I own that game too, but it was in the press and watching it in a video was hilarious... much better than when it happens to you). Is this the same think? My internet connection isn't too stable these days. Could this cause this? In that case, you may want to relax the rules a bit...

Yes, this is indeed a most horrible Copy protection....

Quite easy to kill on normal if you know how to ;)

I don't think it's a bug or some kind of Anti-Piracy troll DRM or something like Serious Sam 3. I had that happen to me in the second level of the game after I used the Water Trap spell on a bunny running around. It turned black, lit on fire and chased me around. Just keep shooting it and eventually it'll just explode.

Lol, no that happens when you kill to many bunnies. Its a reference to chicken killing in Legend of Zelda. And they are killable and actually pretty easy. Just backpedal and swing your sword...or dont kill the copulating rabbits.

haha happened to me while in a bamboo forest, i killed two bunnies humping and all of a sudden a black enraged rabbit came from nowhere, was a teleporter, and the music changed to heavy metal untill i killed it

Hmm... but I didn't kill any corpulating bunnies... at least I don't think I did. Oh well... one of the great mysteries...

Just got it again on the second level... Well, they're easy to kill with a SMG, but if you're not expecting anything like that (because you're playing on *casual*) and have only a pistol, they seem almost invincible :)
