Hell on Earth achievement

Can anybody tell me a good spot and/or technique to get 'Hell on Earth' for killing 10 enemy with one shot? I'm sure I've wiped out large numbers of enemies with a single or triple-stacked rocket blast, but the achievement didn't pop, so I'm guessing it means a shot from a pistol, the machine-gun, crossbow or the shotgun. Be nice if someone could remember where they got this achievement, as well as others like Furious, Berserk and Slaughterhouse.

FYI Triple stack rocket counts as 3 shots. So that won't work. The best weapon to do it with is the sword usimg its 360 attack in a hoard of low level grunts.

I didn't think the katana's circle of iron counted... Could have sworn I've finished multiple enemies without geting Slaughterhouse (for killing 6) or Hell on Earth (for killing 10). I'll keep trying though. Thanks for the tip.

derp... NM. I havent gotten it. Best suggestion upgrade the rocket launcher to nuke rockets then fire at a tightly packed enemies. The triple/multishot doesnt count.

You need to stack some enemies at very close range, otherwise the explosion of the rockets is not big enough, best done in a later level on the bridge where you have to fight some men.

I think I know where you mean... There are two walkways that form a cross, and you get several guys coming atcha. I spent quite a while on my first playthrough (on Normal) trying to get Hell on Earth at that spot, but failed. I'm replaying on Insane so I'll have another crack at it. Perhaps with the nuke upgrade to the rocket launcher I'll get it.

FWIW I got the Slaughterhouse (6 kills with one shot) quite accidentally in the crane yard when I shot one of the exploding demons and it started a chain reaction.

I got slaughterhouse and hell on eart achievement at the same time while i was playing on insane difficulty. In chapter 16 i used shockwave ability on enemies coming to me on the bridge. After they were stunned i used secondary fire of the shotgun (RMB) and eight achievements popped up

Just got the Hell on Earth Tier 4 achievement using your tactics, so cheers!

It took me few dozen tries though. In the end I got myself to low HP so I have rage mode active.

Also, when I got it, I used a guided rocket that I launched above the katana henchment I had just shockwaved, then dropped the guided rocket on top of them. That seemed to work better than just straight up firing a rocket at them on the "ground".

This is the post I'm lookign for. Looks like a good idea. Getting them together in one spot.

I wonder also if a demon heart would work for a single shot kill once they are grouped together

How I got the achievement. First of all, triple shot might not work. Use single rocket shot. I got it on chapter 16, right after the bridge. I didn't kill any enemies on the bridge but rather went around them (let them damage you around to 80hp, so you can quickly get rage bonus) and jumped to the next area to get more enemies. This way I got more enemies to kill. After triggering next wave of enemies (skeletons, casual demons) I jumped on a big rock, where enemies can't get you, let them get all together, jumped down on one of the sides, used shockwave to get the first ones closer to second ones and let them hit you a bit to trigger the rage. Then just fire a rocket shot.

I did the achievement on the bridge with a single rocket on insane difficulty.
The most important detail is to have Rage 2 skill and be less than 30% hp, so your rocket will have 60% more damage.
Also, I shot the rocket in the air and then pointed it with a right click.

It took me a day to manage how to deal with this terrible achievement design.........

I tried several times to do the achievement on the bridge and in the port on the insane difficulty - it didn’t work.
Then I tried it in chapter 14 in front of the temple (where you need to break 3 statues to get through the door), there are a huge number of mobs (~30). Put them together, fired it with one shot from the rocket launcher, the achievement was immediately completed the first time. I recommend. The simplest place.
