Game choosing my Intel HD Graphics 4000.
The game chooses my integrated graphic card Intel HD Graphics 4000, instead of my dedicated Nvidia GeForce GT 640M 2gb one. My specs cover the recommended settings, but I have 30-40 framerate on the lowest resolution possible. I've been to the nvidia control center and made it choose the Nvidia graphic card, but I still can't choose it in the video settings...
asus aspire v3 571g 2gb dedicated graphics i5 8gb ram.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Common I'm afraid, do you have a choice of GPUs in the SW options menu?

Open the NVIDIA GPU control panel, on program settings click add, add "Shadowwarrior /sw," or something like that, set the preferred processor to the nvidia GPU, click apply, launch it again.

Edit, wait ♥♥♥♥ you already did that.

Is the laptop set to "High Performance" in the power options?

Yes, but I can only choose the Intel HD Graphics 4000.

Yes, it's set to high performance, and while the nvidia control panel has fixed other games, this doesn't do the trick :/

Try going to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Shadow Warrior\sw.exe"
and right click on sw.exe, go to "Run with Graphics Processor" and choose the Nvidia card.

Sorry if this sounds naive but why are people having this problem at all. I thought if you have a dedicated GPU card then you go into the Bios and disable internal graphics chip there. Voila! no??

How do i do it tho ?

Ok as you probably don't have a Gigabyte motherboard like myself then things probably wont be the same as mine. However re-boot system and press the 'DEL' key whilst it's restarting and look for something along the lines of Internal Graphics in the Peripherals section. Disable that and then save bios and restart. Alternatively I would have thought you could disable the internal graphics chip in the Device Manager within Windows, disabling it there.

He's on a laptop, you can't do that with Nvidia mobile cards.

I'm really not sure what is happening in both of your cases. All I had to do was make the game a profile in the nvidia control panel and designate the Nvidia card and it worked. Make sure your drivers are up to date.

This doesn't work for me, and neither does setting a profile for SW in the nVidia Control Panel. There have been so many people unable to run Shadow Warrior with their mobile graphics cards that you'd think you guys would actually consider coming up with a patch or a fix for it.

The problem is your game. Shadow Warrior is the problem - I have not had this issue with any other game release in the last couple years, and even some games that came out 5 years ago can identify my graphics card. So do early release titles. Why can't yours?

Please address this situation properly by issuing a patch for it.
