Need help: Game won't detect my NVIDIA GPU.
I recently got a new rig meant for playing games (finally) and now that I have SW installed again it won't detect my NVIDIA GT 775M card. Instead it goes straight to my integrated Intel HD 4600 card. Yes, I have two GPUs on this computer.

I don't know where to start, honestly. Hard Reset also has this same problem. Both games don't detect my NVIDIA card. And yes, this is a laptop. I had my NVIDIA card selected as my prefered processor in the NVIDIA Control Panel for both games, yet neither detect those cards.

It's kinda crappy because I have 2 gigs of VRAM on my NVIDIA card and only 512MB of VRAM on the integrated card. Would really appreciate help.

Can't you turn the integrated card off on bios or something?

Are your video drivers up to date, my laptop has both those cards also and i use Nvidia software to keep the drivers up to date as i had a issue before with Victoria 2 not starting because it could not detect the correct video card.

You got the wrong GPU selected, you can switch it in the NVIDIA control panel.

Can you tell me whether (and how) you have solved this issue? I have the same set up and would like to buy the game right now...but I'm afraid of getting the same error. Looking it up online tells me a few people had tbhis issue already and couldn't really solve it?

:S That'd be too damn sad since I want to play this real bad!

So you want me to switch it to my integrated graphics card?

Well, my friend had the same problem. In the video menu in-game there was intel graphics, the problem was that he was playing with the nvidia control panel and he selected the intel graphics there. So that's probably not your case then.

What are you even saying? He already stated that he had his nvidia card set as preference in the control panel...did you even read his post?

I hope that this is some kind of a stupid joke :)
By the way GOG's version is not the only one which is completely DRM-Free, it's also on Humble Store.

No I didn't read the complete post, my bad :)

I have a laptop with a 720m GPU and I was, in the case of Hard Reset, able to distinguish a major performance difference when I changed the game's GPU setting in the Nvidia control panel.

Hard Reset was telling me I was using my integrated card either way, but the difference was evident if you actually played the game a little.

Don't own this game yet but I'm willing to bet it's the same situation, it's worth a shot.

wow,...same reply as the other dude. Just take a second and read his post, he already changed it in the control panel.

Look at my second paragraph, OP said nothing about his in game performance so I assume he got dissuaded by the game's video settings menu before even trying the game.

In the case of Hard Reset the game runs perfectly (mostly because it's older). Shadow Warrior runs like crap no matter what I do in the control panel or with the in-game settings.

Turns out it may just run like crap: http://steamcommunity.com/app/233130/discussions/0/792923683539506893/

I was thinking of grabbing it during the sale but probably not, now.

Nah, it runs fine on my GTX 770M and his GTX 775M is the next model up so if it uses his nVidia card it should run fine.

If you didn't do it this way, maybe try clicking the Add button and then choose the game from the recent list (if it does that for you) or if not, go find the EXE.
