Yeah its very strong but i mean come on - after i finish the game i just wanna have fun... so it would be cool to include it in another mode or something
I totally agree with Pinguin, granted the sword's OP, but it totally ruins the replay-ability of the game if I can't go back to the first level and mercilessly slaughter enemies with my decked out weapons, just for the fun of it.
Yeah, i don't understand the whole "It's OP" argument from the devs. If it's any kind of arcade shooter, it should have ridiculous OP bonus weapons. Nobody lets you screw around in single player games anymore. No console cheats, no crazy endgame weapons, no A.I Slaughterfest. Just "Play the game. Finish it. Now play it again. Now finish it again. Play again" etc. Besides, The A.I doesn't really care if it's OP, there's no PVP either so you cant really glitch it in or anything.
In my opinion, replay value can also come from how much you can screw around in the game. The same old thing over and over isn't really something people come back to.
But PvE bloodbaths during storymode always liven things up;imagine the beginning, you just completely destroy all of the henchmen before he is even done running away.
Sure it doesn't make sense story wise, but it doesn't have to, you already know what happens, so it can't really ruin the game for you. Besides, you break the tutorial stuff a few times anyway. You can heal/use Ki before hoji even tells you about it.

Totally agree... I mean it is an arcade shooter after all, you can even replace your katana for the Saints Row "penetrator" weapon for chrissakes, why wouldn't they let you have some fun and tear sh*t up with your ridiculously overpowered sword (or big puple dildo, or excalibat) on your second playthrough?
