HELP!!! Can't break the blue statue!!

So I am at the first level, trying to break the blue statue after having found my first ki crystal. I can't break the statue no matter what I do, and I don't see "Divider of Heaven" anywhere in my skill list.
Please HELP!!!! Two days now I've tried to go forward with the game and I'm stuck... I even restarted the game, only to get stuck at that point once more!!

Divider of Heaven isn't a Ki skill, it's a Sword skill. You need a karma point to unlock it.

The game forces you through a mini-tutorial that teaches you this, just read the on-screen instructions.

But.... I can't find that skill (or any skill whatsoever) in the katana in the weapon menu. It seems all the skills are still locked.

How do I reach that tutorial area seen in the video you've linked here?? I am at the river where you find the blue lantern and the very first ki crystal. Where do I go from there? Please, I would really appreciate to know since I still can't figure it out...

It is impossible to get to where you are without going through the area shown in the video, unless you're cheating or using someone else's savegame... and even if you're using someone's save, they still would have had to learn DoH already to progress to that point. I'm genuinely baffled as to how you managed it!

Are you able to take screenshots of the skills screen you're seeing? You're not the first person who's gotten into this kind of situation, so I'd like to take this opportunity to really work out what the problem is...

I swear I have NOT seen an area blocked by a green magical screen, as shown in that video.
I have re-started the game and re-played up to that point and still nothing happens.
The blue lantern and the blue magical screen are the first ones I saw in the game.

So that's why I can't go on? I am missing a part of the game?? How is it even possible??

Can you tell me exactly where that tutorial part is located, please??

Chapter 1, you start off in a bamboo cage, right? Find the green keycard, leave the area into the first large yard where you fight your first group of enemies. Over the bridge, up the scaffolding and into the burning building to meet Hoji. Leave the burning building, over the suspension bridge, through the cave and fight a few more enemies. Through the bamboo to a set of doors. Pass through those doors and that's where I started recording.

Just beyond that green-sealed door is the wooded area with the stream and the Ki crystal/Blue-sealed door.
