fmodex.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error

I recently got a copy of this game from Humble Bundle and it is coming up with this error whenever I try to play it:

sw.exe - Bad Image
C:\Users\Beowulf\Documents\Games\Sadow_Warrior\fmodex.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support.

It is a legitiment copy of the game downloaded from humble bundle but I do not have the steam key. I have tried using the sfc /scannow command in the Windows command prompt but that did not find any errors.
I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix this becasue I am really looking forward to playing Shadow Warrior.

Don't use the built in windows extractor. Use 7zip or winrar to extract the downloaded ShadowWarrior.zip file.

That should do it.
