It's the best advice I could come up with :(
Everything else just comes down to preference. With autosaves and even quicksaves the game is easy to beat eventually, no matter what skills or upgrades you choose.

From skills take all the things that increase your ki strike damage and overall damage. Also get the lifesteal skill. That's pretty strong. After that max your HP and stamina. (so you can keep on moving better ;)

From weapon upgrades you're definitely going to want the "high strain system" upgrade for the crossbow. Also the firebomb for the flamethrower is great.

Powers: max healing. The rest doesn't matter much. Shockwave and Flux are good for karma though.

Keep on mind that all ki- strikes deal more damage the longer you charge them.

Healing isn't that important,at least if you wanna take on Heroic you'll need shockwave+heaven's divider aimed at the head of knocked down enemies, just take the first levels of healing up to reduced channeling time and then aswang thirst.

Then proceed with ki strikes + damage and follow up with stamina amount and regen, and after that you can get some health.

About weapons the ones you'll use the most are Crossbow and SMG,Shotgun only faster reload and 4 barrel, flamethrower is a double edged weapon so watch out not to set yourself on fire.

I see you havent yet completed it, so my advice may still be of some use.
As said before, invest in damage perks, including crit strike. Lifesteal is a must. Divider of heavens will be you main damage source along with the AOE sword whatsitcalled attack, heal is useful, crowd control i found to much of a hassle, just divide, dodge, repeat. Speaking of which, stamina traits are a must.

On the gun front, definitely up SMG to the max, flamer damage and bomb is handy, xbow explosives not so much: they need too much setup. I really liked missile launcher upped to the max, the laser sight however is tricky to use but worth it. Shotgun is worth a mention, but a divider does almost as much damage as a fully upped shotty(and charges your health too!).

There are a few cockblock fights in the game which might seem impossible, and they are NOT the bossfights.(Those you dont need to slogh trough 40 mins of figts just to die again and again.)

These are: the double berserkers round 2(inside the building), the final arena showdown before zilla, and a few others ive forgot about.

The final arena is especially merciless, but keep in mind the you can jump on the stairs from the sides, creating a handy kiting advantage. And you need to keep kiting. Dont stop to fight unless you have some breathing room. Drop firebombs at your pursuers, and rain laser-guided missiles at the shamans or warlords, whichever you find a bigger threat. Dont forget you can buy ammo too! And keep your health up with dividers. Leave berzerkers last.

At least thats how i did it, im sure there are other, more exciting methods.

Ps.: find every secret, and go out of your way to pick up money.
