Loved this game...until the courtyard in Chapter 16.

You know the one...two of the big bull guys, two summoners, a bunch of the teleporting sword guys, one of those charging ♥♥♥♥ers, and the minions that all get summoned...all at once.

This is just too much. Its ridiculous. I just spent something like...5k, I dunno, all my money just to restock on rockets and here almost at the end (I hope), I have 10 left. That is a total of almost...what, 25+ rockets on just one encounter.

That is just a teeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeny bit absurd, in my opinion. >.>

This is the last hardest battle. Deal with it.
It's possible, people did it even on Heroic difficulty.

It's the hardest battle in the game... it was MEANT to be that way. The entire point of it was to literally throw EVERYTHING the game has at you at once as a true test of your abilities. Yes its hard but its SUPPOSE to be. In other words git gud scrub. My advice Focus on the Shamans/Summoners first (that way enemies will stop getting resurrected) and leave the charging Berserker dudes for last (They actually help thin the herd).

1. kill Shamans/Summoners with guardian head - rocket launcher - crossbow bombs
2. kill Guardians with guardian head - rocket launcher - crossbow bombs
3. kill big bull guys with flame thrower (it is really easy to touch their weak point with this weapon)
4. kill any enemy with crossbow bombs (this is one of the best weapon in the game, there are lots of ammo and bombs are really great against every opponent expecially the shield guys).

Crossbow bombs are too weak on higher difficulties.
Jump over railings so that Berserker will slowly walk around instead of charging at you.
Flamethrower's secondary fire bomb with upgrades is good for taking out big guys. Rocketlauncher too, but some warper can suddenly appear in front of you.
Beware of resurrected warpers, use upgraded force push to incapacitate and remove rage, then kill asap. Use sword with vampirism to kill & heal at the same time or charged crossbow bolt to the head.
And remember, you can always buy ammo mid-combat.

This way I survived it in Heroic mode. On easier ones you can just save/load mid-combat.

I literally killed everything in that courtyard just using heal skill, dash skill and crossbow. So easy guys - just remember you can multitask skills.

haha thast EXACTLY where I stopped playing about 2 years ago. Not due to it's difficulty (playing on hard btw). But by that point I was just so burned out. I've just installed the game again. I might as well finish it.

Not sure if I want to start a new game though...

Kill the Warlords first, then the Berserkers. Leave the Shamans for last, as their minion skeletons are good for heals with Aswang Hunger. Also Shamans don't really do much offensively other than doing the ground electricity which is loud and easy to predict/avoid.

By the stairs you got these big rocks right? They block Berserkers and give you LoS.
And also, there's this one tree on the right side (perspecetive of you just went inside the courtyard). That blocks Berserkers and is quick to run around.

As long as you stay near these obstacles and bait the Berserkers constantly, you can focus on doing damage to them with your Divider of Heavens. If you can get one killed, you can get the other and then it's izi pizi.

Shamans respawn the Warpers, but they can only bring them back so many times. Stay near obstacles that block Berserkers while you kill the Warpers and bait Berserkers when you can. Switch spots everytime you bait one, but always run around with Dragon Scales up. Don't bother trying to Dragon Scales the Warpers, just keep damaging them with Ki strikes and your Aswang Hunger should be able to outheal them.



I personally don't think this fight is as difficult as many people say. Just make sure you keep baiting the Berserkers and killing the Warpers and nothing else can touch you.


And yes, I have done this on Heroic and I didn't die on this part ( I died at the end of the level 14 at the final fight with 2 Berserkers and some Warpers though)

I am at that part... and damn I haven't been so angry with a game since a very long time >_<
I really loved the game, so much that I also bought the second one just before this chapter, because I said I'd want more.
But I am not so sure now....
I hate when games become suddenly way more difficult at one point.

And there is even a way more ridiculous boss fight after this, right?

Thanks for the tips, I had to calm down and stop feeling angry >_> I had forgotten I can buy ammo, spend them on rockets and shot them up the Shaman's ***.
Final boss was meh.
The complete sword was awesome! I was going to play new game EX, but we can't use that sword from the get go... eh, I guess I'll move to SW2.

LoL i just did this on insanity on my first run at the first try. Still that battle was much more fun than ♥♥♥♥♥♥ zilla one and the final boss (ATM left my game there).
I do not recommend to try this game on insanity on the first try to anyone, its not because its hard, its because it gets boring taking too much time between battles and ♥♥♥♥ bosses.

Wise words, my friend. Freaking wise words. I'm doing Heroic mode, so... well, it seems I'm gonna have fun like I never had in any game, hahaha... haha... hah. *nervous smile*

basic recommendation: turn down resolution and graphics ..try to get as much fps as you can get for that fight.i died about 30 times....i lowered my graphics all the way down and even resolution and then i was able to make it work jumping around like in quake 3 or something lol. started game on hard and rushed through with katana not really caring for secrets, quick save or other abilities as everyting was working out until some point. that really big bosses i dont like so much. reminds me playing some endless zelda fight...thats where i should have used that quick save thing. shadow warrior = awesome (actually playing bulletstorm atm which is also pretty nice...missed so many good games in the last years. wanna check out swarrior2 as well now ^^ )

That fight was the literal definition of anti fun. There's just too much to take into account at any given time and the berserkers can interrupt your healing, the bulls dragging you around the map at random intervals, the stupid teleporting ♥♥♥♥♥ popping up in your face the literal instant you fire a rocket so you end up damaging yourself... It's just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on top of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on top of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It's not fun OR satisfying to beat in any way. It's that one piece of garbage in what, to me, is an otherwise fantastic game.

if you're too bad at the game... the only way to beat it is keep trying. Not complaining about it on the forums.
