how to get 5/5 ninja stars ?

I dunno either.On turret section i get 4 but on melee only 2 maybe 2,5.
See i think it counts dmg dealen and in what way and dmg taken.Like always on level end you can see how much dmg you have dealen and taken.
I think if you could do flawless waves with good moves you can have 5 stars.
But don't worry.It not counts as achievements or something.It's just rating system.

you get penalized for damage taken, time, and how much you used guns.

Yes, but let's say you preformed as well, but used ANY gun. Your score will be lower since you didn't use the sword.

I once did a fight using only shotgun and won in a very short amount of time and only took two hits, only got 3 stars.

Yes, but let's say you preformed as well, but used ANY gun. Your score will be lower since you didn't use the sword.

You gotta do some kick azz moves with your katana to earn that 5 stars. Dont use any guns, just pure katana moves.

The feature description suggest using different weapons (incl. guns) is promoted, but this seems true except perhaps one (you guys should test it more): Crossbow. "Ninja" - katana & crossbow.
