Difficulty Levels

So what do the various difficulty levels actually do? I got about halfway through the game, but it was getting a little overwhelming (hate those stupid Shamans!), so I decided to drop the difficulty a notch -- but I can't tell that it's making any difference at all.

Enemy health, their damage to you and your damage to them.

Well I'm obviously doing something wrong, because this fight (Chapter 8, Shaman + Warpers) is playing out exactly the same regardless of difficulty. Is there some special trick to defeating the Warpers? My weapons don't seem to be doing *anything*, and they tear me up faster than I can heal.

Use force push on warpers and then something like Divider of Heavens to their face while they're lying, it'll also heal you. For Shamans there I used mostly flamer's secondary fire. Missiles are good too, but you gotta be careful of some resurrected warper appearing in your face.

Jump over railings, it'll keep most enemies from reaching you and big guys together in the center.

You can try to shoot off Shaman's specific hand with crossbow's charged primary shot. I don't remember which is which, but by losing one of his hands he loses ability to resurrect.

With that and some luck, you can defeat them even on Heroic difficulty.

I died at that episode like 25 times then I used cheat engine to boost a few things to pass that part.
You probably did the same mistake as me you chose the wrong powers which the game punishes you hard or just that you suck at fps games that might be the case also, either way I suggest you to boost the shotgun to the max
