Awful Combat System
Idk about the story...but the combat system is awful. It doesn't seem to have much stratagey to it...and its really strange...they tried to do something new and exciting and in my opinion failed miserably. It's my fault for not trying the trailer and looking at streams of the game online. I know this...just posting this as a warning to all who may consider buying the game to check out the game before buying.

There was also a demo you could have tried too.

It is absolutely true that the mechanics are obscure and poorly explained. The gameplay is definitely unusual and won't be for everyone. It definitely takes some getting used to and it helps to have people explain it to you. There's a couple good guides on Steam, in fact.

But your profile says you have 4.3 Hours total on record. I guarantee you that while the first 5 hours of the game might not require a lot of strategy to get through, that is NOT the case later on. You probably barely made it out of the "tutorial"-ish section of the game. You will need to think a lot more carefully about later encounters and sidequests or you will get destroyed.
That's what i meant! the demo. I might check out some of the guides if I have the time. Im still not sure if i'd like the combat system even as it deveopes more depth and I gain more understanding of it. That is just me personally though. I thought it was going to be like dragonquest; the one that was for gamecube, loved that game!
I found the combat really fun, to me it is actually the highlight of this game.

Like said above , the combat will become harder and your choices a LOT more important , just adding chars together will get you in trouble later , a LOT of it.

Then again , the game is really complex, he said it would take more +- 5 hours to get into it , well i would say that without a guide and the wiki you will take more than one play through to grasp it.
i love the combat system :D you only have to understand the mechanism

The combat system is pretty divisive, that's for sure. Some people insist on saying exactly what each character will do and those people will never like this combat system. This is more of a "use the cards you're dealt and work on stacking the deck" sort of combat system.

Having only 5 hours of gameplay? Of course you won't like it. You can't judge a game off of 5 hours... It took me awhile to like this game too but once you get a lil farther it's a solid RPG. So you shouldn't really be saying for people to not buy the game.
I did not say people should not buy it. I told them to do in depth research about the game's mechanics. Also most of the time when the begining of a book, movie, or game starts out slow, and dreadfully hard to understand, a lot of people who don't have the patience, and/or an overwhelming amount of free time to put into comprehending whatever it is they are invested in, will give up on that item. It is a warning especially for those sort of people.
