It is essential to be able to heal quickly and efficiently, so at least one person with Revitalize (and high INT) on each union is a must.
Snievan isn't hard to deal with, but his Lugh's Revenge will kill a union guaranteed. For Milton, a high level shield is your friend. It will allow you to *hopefully* avoid all of his attacks once Iron Will takes effect and parry some of them for a bit of retaliation damage too.
Ludope and Zuido are where things get nasty. You need to take Snievan do ASAP and then keep no more than 2 unions (with at least 2 for reviving and healing) on Milton until he falls. Try to keep healthy during this stage of the fight. Ludope's Galaxy will kill any weakened unions (hence you need high HP before he shows up). Zuido's Giant Press will damage all unions deadlocked on him, so keep only 1 on him and focus down Ludope.
Next is Young who fights alone, and like Zuido, has a powerful attack that hits all unions deadlocked on him, so keep at least one away for healing.
The twins (Hannah and Hinnah) come last and like Ludope, have an full battlefield attack that may wipe you out if unprepared. Have one union on Hannah and the rest on Hinnah. The twins' attacks are nothing to worry about (beyond Twin Snowpetal) and once one of them falls, the fight is much easier. Just be aware of Hinnah's Total Domination attack that can (and likely will) enthrall you.
How are your unions set up by the way?
That entrance is the hardest part of the entire fight, IMHO.
You don't "have" to fight them, though. You certainly don't have to fight them early, either. Go spruce up those weapons a bit before trying again.
Surviving Ludope's Galaxy most of the time comes down on pure luck, although last time I noticed that when I had only one union alive at that moment, he did not cast it until all of my unions were back alive. This might have been a coincidence, but on my earlier fights, he always cast it on coming in.
The twins are very tricky too, since they are using Overdrive as soon as one of them is dead, making it hard to have all unions alive at the end of the battle.
Generally to beat the E7 you need a very strong team, not so offensively but good DEF and MDEF, which comes down to having heavily upgraded all your team's weapons.
What are your union's stats? I'm talking about HP, ATK, DEF, MDEF?
Shouldn't have to resort to that. The White conqueror is a lot harder too.
Milton and his one hit kill send his regards.
Like I said, a high level shield will evade most (if not all) of those attacks. The Protection ward spell helps too.
Depends on how many people are in the union as well as whose in them. Jager/Torgal etc have high HP growths. Unions made up of 5 people will reach max HP much earlier than that. There's also the units' focus to take into account. A balance/mystic focus will lead to people asking for HP boosting accessories to increase HP that way too.
