I don't know about your planned strategies, but you need either insane evasion capabilities or obscene stats.
Or maybe both.
And Epic Tier equipment.
And a class with [No Instakill] skill. Some of them are simply not possible, like Warlock or Alchemist. Scholar is quite tricky to get and to keep. Ninja boosts only DW; best would be Ordainer, but that one is quite labor intensive to get.
Depending on your focus follows the usefulness of the accessories.
Very Useful
- Ragna-rock: One is a no-brainer. But I doubt that two are really that more useful...
- Bedazzling Anklets: Of course. Rubber Soul is even better.
- Hinnah's Earring/Stormcloud Bolt: Only helps when you're not Dual Wielding. Awesome with the One-Handed/Shield combo. Here I'd even use two. Two Hinnah's, or if you lack the materials one Hinnah's and the other one a Stormcloud Bolt.
- Idol Amulet: Clears Status Effects, kind of a Wonder Bangle for Rush.
- Damascene Bracelet/Soul Wristlet: One of these, no matter which one; the additional effects are useless anyways.
- Elf's Escape: You need that if you want to grind the landworms! Also Kelpie's Blessing may be useful for that instead of Bed. Anklets
I would add:- Dwarf's Gratitude (early game, when the final class hasn't been reached yet)
Less Useful (IMHO)Good Luck!!
The speed from Rubber Soul will help with turn order.
Ragna-rock will definitely help speed up skill growth.
You are definitely going to need shields, preferably Soulshield. You'll need something to increase your block rate.

EDIT: After viewing my levels (I'm Lv 5 in Herbs, 4 in Explosives, 8 in Psionics), and noticing it's probably easier for me to maintain a Item/Mys Balance, I'll probably go Axeman > Scholar > Ordainer (Or Alchemist, that would require serious Shard grinding though)
Also the ingredients for Shards are available quite late, like from 18 members.
For Ordainer I'd recommend using DW (whenever possible) together with all the different medium weapon types, because the Ragna-rock doubles the EXP of the main hand and adding one EXP for the off hand, tripling the EXP towards Weapon Type.
(I know, somewhat difficult; at least you have to heal somehow...)
For keeping Scholar you must not get items greater than mystic, otherwise you'll get Scout.
On the other side with mystic greater items you may get Sage, Thaumaturge or Commander, (if you have 3 or more mystic skills of level 7 or more) or Paladin if Psionics is your significant mystic skill.
So keeping that Balance is quite important.
To protect against accidental class change as much as possible, train Katana last, so you already have advanced all other weapon types above 19 when you finalize the training using the Katana. At that point you can also make sure that the Mys/Item balance needed for Ordainer has been maintained.
Btw, these are the weapons I'll be grinding with (feel free to say if I should use something else...)
Sword: Shielding Bluesteel
Axe: Shielding Hawkarang
Katana: Parrying Tatarachi (Nightbloom VIrtuitis later)
Staff: Damascene Greatstaff
Spear: Shielding Glaive
Mace: Shielding Blackjack
Otherwise I'd probably choose the Might Scythe (or the Divine Club if it's only for grinding) as the mace of choice.
The other thing is, for grinding skills only it's probably better to fight single union rares than an army of landworms. You probably get 10-15 art usages out of 18-20 landworms linked, giving you a BR raise of ~0.5.
With a single union rare you also should get 10-15 art usages but with a BR gain of only 0.05.
A) Boost evasion to 100% (Without 2 Hinnah's Earrings, and minimal usage of MA/IA)
B) Survive his attacks (Rush's HP = 1023 - 1400)
C) Do it all without relying on boosting formations and eventually doing it in Orb formation.
Right now, I can do it in Comet formation in ~ 15 turns, a third of that being heal commands and it being sped up by shield bashing (Which, if I didn't have, I would have been KOed later, due to trying it without relying on it).
Sword: 19, Axe: 20, Mace: 10. IA's and MA's severly lacking until Ordainer reached.
EDIT: By switching to Hawkeye formation (+ Phy Eva), using one Hinnah's Earring and a Ragnarock, I have a chance to finish Bai Ze within 30 turns without being to heavily reliant on Shieldbashes (Usually 4-5, around 9700 dmg a bash). However, he still dies in one hit.... and I need to fire off 1-2 Bluff V's to boost my chances a bit (Keep morale at 75% of the way to the right and adjust for Sheryl dying [instantenously] so that I can keep my Union Morale high...) Still looking for a way to avoid shieldbashing alltogether. Either that, or replace Ragnarock with a HP boosting acc to boost Rush's HP to 1400 to (mabye) increase my chances of surviving.

28% + (40%+12%) + 15% = 95%.
Other than for grinding it's not a particularly good weapon though, so for normal battles you're probably still better off keeping the Shielding Bluesteel -> 91%.
With a 95% evasion ratio you only have to plan for surviving one 'single' hit on average per battle of 20 turns, because the probability of a second successive hit is 5%, meaning that you'd get killed in one of 20 battles on average.
With the 91% ratio you'd get hit twice per battle with a 9% chance of getting killed, so all in all getting killed in one of six battles.
Physical evasion can be improved by Hawk-Eye formation, but solo it's going to be only level 1, meaning by +3%
You might have to experiment a little, which of these tweaks are feasible for Bai Ze grinding.
EDIT: Just saw the video, nice!
Hint: After turn 30 you can start shield bashing since no XP is awarded to arts & skills anymore.
Now that I have Ordainer, I can stop doing Items/ Mystic Balance right, or do I have to keep it until I progress to L. Ordainer?
I need to get past the base Ordainer class anyway, it provides no [Safety] bonus.
Now training weapons to 25 (eventually, but it's not a main focus now), Hexes (To Cachexia), Mixed Message (Now II), Lotions (If I can afford getting past Antivenin... I literally can't get Rush to use it), FT, Wards (Orphic Ward, Protection, and Band of Champions).
Since it's a tier 7 class, which is the maximum possible, there's nothing that could change your class from now on.
EDIT: Going to skill grind, Rush really needs to buff his MAs and IAs because I nerfed them too severly XD.
You'd have to count at least 70-100 enemy attacks for this number being plausible, but it gives you a good indication about your current evasion/block abilities.
I remember doing this once with a Spatha Adamanteus + Imperator's Shield + 2 Hinnah's Earring and achieving an evasion/block rate of about 75%:
- Number of successfully landed enemy attacks: 37
- Number of blocked/evaded enemy attacks: 112
