WHY my ps2 controller with USB adapter doens't work?

i play castle crashers with my ps2 controller, i use x260ce on other games too and it works fine, the last remnant is the only game i can't play, when i choose gamepad or xbox 360 controller ir appear a red >> *
on my binding option and it says *required

Go to the gamepad tab in the settings. Highlight over preset and press enter. Choose either xbox or type A for the playstation controller. (For the xbox, at the top of the gamepad tab, you should change the key display to xbox) Use the arrow keys and press ok at the bottom. After that you should be in the main menu where for the ps controller use the d pad to choose the options. After you press load game or in game you can use the analog stick.

Are you using an xbow or a playstation controller? For me, I have to have my playstation controller plugged in before I launch the game for it to work.

playstation 2, yeah i never unplug my ps2 controller, i use an adapter too

I don't have an adapter so I don't know for sure what is wrong. Under your device manager for keyboards do you have the Standard PS/2 Controller installed? If you do, I don't know what is wrong. Maybe the last remnant isn't picking up your adapter or something.

I use a ps3 controller with ds3 tool + offline files , Might wanna give it a try works great for me it also has other controller support you might wanna give it a try
