The game is a remaster of the 2008-released Xbox 360 and PC title The Last remnant with additional elements. Furthermore, it uses a new game engine and has higher resolution graphics. The new key artwork was illustrated by Yusuke Naora, who was the art producer on the original game.

The Last Remnant Remastered will launch for PlayStation 4 via the PlayStation Store in North America and Europe day and date with its Japanese release on December 6 for $19.99, publisher Square Enix announced.

Wow! I never would have expected this. Last Remenant did not sell terribly well so I'm amazed that S/E is giving this a second shot - even if it's just an upgrade to the engine from Unreal 3 to 4....

The game will retail for $20 USD from articles I've been looking at.

People who have the original should get a discount if it does come to PC, because I bought it simply because it was getting delisted, which is annoying.

That being said the articles I've seen also keep saying it's a PS4 exclusive

If this is THQ-Nordic, we all the owner of original will get the remastered for free. But, this is Square-Enix, so I dunno if we get this for free - discount - or pay full price for get it.

If anything they might do the Sleeping Dogs route and give a limited time discount.
I think it was $15 or $20 for those that owned Sleeping Dogs for like 2 weeks after launch before the discount was gone?

If they added significant content I would consider giving maybe another 10 bucks, but they are quite literally adding NOTHING. They basically popped the PC version into UE4 from UE3 so now a lot of lighting is changed which doesn't look that good from the screenshots we seen. Plus, all else they changed is making the UI sharper, fixing up the fonts and new character portraits.

I adore this game. I'll buy it on both PS and PC when it comes out. Been gaming for 30 years and few times has anything lived up to the Epicness of the Fallen fight.
