The only real difference is that it's using a newer version of the unreal engine, so they made it use the lighting system provided by that new engine.
That's also why they removed the PC version, it was much cheaper and had most of what they claim "new" in their trailers (because they compare the PS4 version with the much older xbox version instead).
Kind of like going through a checkout aisle in a store and impulsively buying $hit you really don't need but they placed it precisely where it would catch your eye!
I'll stick with my PC version...
However I don't see the point in suspending the sale of the PC version, while providing no alternative. So if you don't own a PS4 and want to buy Last Remnant, good luck with that.
I mean these are the same morons who sell multiple versions of Sleeping Dogs and Deus Ex Human Revolution on Steam where one version is basically pointless compared to the other.
I'll refrain from ranting about how their PC ports have been utter garbage in the last 2-3 years. TL:DR most of them lack hardware support for anything that isn't a GTX 980/1080 and constantly crash rendering devices on anything else.
Square Enix needs help. Like someone needs to sit down with their CEOs and directors and have an intervention type of help.
