How do you edit a save's/active game's BR?

Had thoughts about seeing how far I could get in a new game with the BR being at 255.

With cheat engine it should be fairly easy.
In fact, just searching "last remnant cheat engine" and going to the video called "Let's cheat The Last Remnant PC cheat 17-full gameplay" got me a cheat list that is overall not that useful but it does countain the BR adress near the bottom of the cheat list.

I just tested it and it seems to have worked for me (both the game and tlr planner recognised the new BR and when I went to the world map all of the units that had not done it yet asked to learn things).

You will probably have a weird experience as all enemies after the "hard coded" groups of the first missions will get quite a bit stronger (get used to seeing "cavalry call III" and such for example).
I would not even try to guess how much grind would be needed for the idol, but even dillmoor might become a bit tricky to clear.
In that boss fight, the "boss" would not be your main problem, the small ones on the sides could be using spark V, wind shear V, caustic blast V and permafrost V so they sound really dangerous if they use the "normal" vile plants that gain things with your BR.

If the wiki is correct you would not be earning stat exp for nearly all of the game (more than 65 BR levels over the enemies and even if they get boosted by your BR it's still within specific values usually lower than 100).

You might want to set it to 254 instead of 255 (maybe even 250) just in case because it doesn't seem to update the BR exp so you would not want to crash if it tried to level up from 255.

Anyway, good luck because you will probably need it, but have fun either way.

Fel's way works. This might be easier: get Necifer's trainer. The misc tab allows you to change BR. Link to the GF post with link to the trainer :

I think the check box to the right of the change button is a "Freeze" option to keep the value from changing.

Finally made it past Dillmor just now. Was tricky as I needed to develop my arts enough to quickly kill enough Vile Plants before the Vicious Plant attacked. Also had to make sure I had full health so I could survive the first gas attack. The Vicious Plant had 20088 hp and the other enemies had an average of 4500 hp per union.

Well, the good part of a run like that is that you can grind fights as much as you want since your BR is already way above what the enemies can use to power up, and since the enemies are going to have high stats your skill uses should be going up at a pretty decent rate.

What i'm curious about is the stat growth, as you are way above the enemy BR you should be getting a pretty big cut on stat exp as far as I understand it, so is it still growing at a decent rate?

116 battles later I have not gotten a single stat gain so far. Currently at the Idol.
My rush has 26 STR and 24 INT.
