Power Grids
So. A bunch of stuff like refrigerators and freezers give the option to hook things up to a power grid. How does that work? Do I need to build a vehicle to house stuff like solar panels and engines, or is there an alternate method?

Hit '*', that will give you a bunch of options to install appliances without the use of a vehicle frame. Expose wall wiring on a line of walls to make connections. Use extension cords to connect things not adjacent to walls

Basically you need a power source, be it a home made generator, solar pannels, a water wheel, ect. Then you need a battery to store power in, a car batter, large storage battery, ect from vehicles, as you can't run directly off of a power source. You connect the power source directly by being within 1 space of the power source and plugging it in or using an extension cord to connect the power source to the battery, extension cords have a range of 8 and outdoor extension cords have a range of 15 spaces.

You can also expose wires or install them in walls to create a grid to connect appliances to these wall wires transmit power along these tiles as long as they are next to each other meaning you can expose 10 tiles along a wall and connect one tile to the power source and all the connected tiles will have power running to them.

Remember to plug you appliances into the power grid or run extension cords to them if you want them further from a wall like a lamp in the middle of a room.
