Is there a changelog somewhere?
I recently installed the game after seeing some YouTube videos and It looks cool to me.
After I played for a little bit I went to the Discussions to ask a few questions but the first Discussion I see that stick out to me is "When will the Herbert update come to steam?"

A quick google search tells me that the Herbert update could probably be played right now if I was to manually mess with some files.
So now I am curious about what all the Herbet update brings to the game.

Also I wanna know if the youtube video I was watching has been playing on the Herbert update or if it is heavily modded because it does not look like the game as I currently have it.

Here you can see a fairly extensive changelog for 0.H https://github.com/CleverRaven/Cataclysm-DDA/blob/653a13141aa475069bbbe58b76785e80c21014a3/data/changelog.txt#L4786

I didn't watch the yt videos, but psionic content is probably from the Mind over Matter mods which comes with the game by default

Just to be clear, 0.H is not yet updated here on Steam right? Do we know when will that arrive? It's starting to be a bit concerning.

One of my biggest issues with this game so far has been collecting information. It is scattered all over the place and kind of hard to find out things.

All the information i have collected suggest the steam release of Cataclysm DDA is managed by just one developer.

It may be a while before it releases.

Yes, it's a bit confusing because on top of the actual game you need to weed out the tons of random drama coming from the open development model. You have drama about whether this dev had right to publish and monetize the stable version on steam (even though he got permission from the lead devs and the project lead) about whether the lead devs and the project lead are fascists trying to suck out the fun out of the game (??) people trash-talking the main fork to bring people to Bright Nights and people trash-talking Bright Nights to get people into the main branch. It gets a bit tiring after a while but it can be funny to watch from the sidelines.

Anyways, I recommend you to ask questions on the Subreddit if you want to know things, I used to ask tons of questions when I started. Also this website gives you updated information about monsters, items, locations, everything. It is a must watch at the beginning, I had it always open for the first year play-through:

Anyways, for the Steam version it is not really an excuse that it's only 1 dev, 0.H has been out for nearly one month already, he only needs to fix Cloud saves and challenges. Many of us have been defending the guy from many haters that will trash-talk him no matter what but at least he should publish an info update on the steam page acknowledging the problems he is having and how long he estimates it will take to fix it. Otherwise the haters will be happy and shout everywhere that "He didn't intend to update the Steam version from the beginning, I told you so!!!, yada yada yada", which I'm pretty sure is not true.
