Any mods to reverse the CBM change?
I really really hate dealing with NPC, so is there any mods can make the CBM spawn like they used to be?

I was just wondering this. Tearing CMBs out of dead bio operators was the best

You can always download the earlier version with it in, the devs are on warpath to change everything just for the sake of changing it.

I'm pretty new to this game, what major changes have the devs made?

I've heard certain developers are not very well liked by the community, but I'm having trouble looking for the changes they have made.

I also know this version of the game has some questionable changes as well, and I've already moved over to another version.

I'm just curious.

Well the game is actively developed. For some reason it attracts a fanbase who do not like changes to their routine… for some reason…. so they are always mad. But it’s good because the game is always getting new features. You won’t always agree with 100% of decisions a group of other people make. Like changing the setting from “a ripoff of Fallout” to “modern day”. Oh well!

In an open source game aren’t mods just “rejected pull requests” 🤔

When rando come screaming into the room about how this highly moddable game hates mod we might have doubt about the veracity of the claims.
EDIT: modding CBMs back into electric zombies is probably a few copy paste away here are the change that removed them, putting that bit into a mod would probably do it https://github.com/CleverRaven/Cataclysm-DDA/commit/4f90dbb1217f408e0673596a1872b0340454c351

I have no memory of that, but with this attitude yeah I can totally see myself not helping you.

>Rip off acessible CBMs, force lock it to Rubick.
>Add a whole bunch of condoms with different flavours (yummy)
Now that's the content we deserve. It almost like the devs trying to downgrade Cataclysm and to make it as close to Project Zomboid as possible (And PZ is a good game. But I personally liked Cataclysm because how crazy it was, and not because it was yet another "modern" Zombie Survival)

I was playing CDDA from the days the rain is acid and there's no car in the street and zombie won't revive, so I agree the game are getting new things is good
However I don't think gated CBM behind some random faction is good. I don't remember a day I care about doing the quest and lick NPC's boots just because I "want their help". Most people play CDDA for survival element, and making loot "quest-reward" is hurting it

Those are years back. I like the new features like backpack, blood lost and profiency(?), I just want to loot CBM rather than buying it

I never tried to say that the best version is literally the first one. What I meant is that they cut more than they add, making the game more slow and tedious in the process and trying to make the game world feel more "grounded"

I do think it’s pretty funny that the commit linked above literally credits zombie electro powers to “magic”

People actually like proficiencies? 😱

No actually. But I did enjoy collecting them for some hours

I'm not sure if I'd say I "like" them, but it does feel kind of satisfying in a way.

It also makes more sense than something like carving wood making you good at welding. Crafting felt too easy without them.
