Is this legit?
I mean it's not the first time someone outright try to sell this game on another platform. Plus this game is basically open sourced soo... whos guranteeing that this is legit?

most of the people youre arguing with are devs by the way, in fact most people posting in the steam forums right are CDDA devs
now watch this post disappear when I ask exactly how many contributors to CDDAs development will get a share of the money earned from steam
Devs have answered this question multiple times on here and reddit already. They've even explained it on the website.

You have any proof to back that up? I don't see any announcement of this on the Cdda's official webpage. I can't tell if you're real or just impersonating korg

sure. check out the official discord announcements.

You'd hear a lot more ruckus from us other devs if someone was impersonating korg on steam

It's now listed on the official website too, in case you still had doubts.

I thought this was more of a big community collaboration than the work of one person. It would make more sense to add it as free, with a supporter DLC. This would prevent scammers like the dev states is the goal, while keeping in line with the free, open source feel the game has everywhere else. The way this is presented just seems like a cash grab but worse - profiting off of others' labor.

Did the contributors know their work would be monetized? It feels like there's a big potential to be scummy and I'd like to know if this is just one person screwing a community before putting down money, as the game is pretty good.

Legit overpriced. The only reason we paid so much for DF is because it was 2 people's lifetime of work. For something like this that has so many contributers and suddenly all proceeds go to just one of them it shouldn't be $20 imo. If they priced it at $5 it would be better because then almost everyone can afford it. Vampire survivors wouldn't be anywhere near it's cult status coming out with a $20 pricetag. It would also feel like less of a cashgrab. There's not enough incentive to touch this version over the alternatives. No meaty extra content. Just a way to support 1 dev and not all contributers. Also needs the early access tag. Yea I know it's never complete, that doesn't change the fact that it's got bugs even on stable releases that can ruin a run.

sorry, early access is not happening. it's just not the proper steam model.

and if a game has bugs that can ruin a run needs to be early access, then skyrim needs to be early access.

Oh snap, shots fired Bethesda!

So we are deleting comments mentioning alternatives and throwing shade instead of addressing issues? Not a great way to inspire faith in this release.

Yes, because it's so hard to shoot a fish in a barrel at point blank range that's full of nothing but fish.

I thought it was funny and despite this being about as ethical as the last time someone tried to release CDDA on Steam they aren't deleting anything as far as I can see.

Edit: Nevermind

People delete their own comments when they get called out for trolling. Will you delete yours too?

Thanks for letting me know not to purchase this game since you want to restrict people even mentioning an alternative.
