Key registration failed. Key is already in use.

Dear all,

I bought TM Stadium back in December and wanted to play a few days ago. I bought it through STEAM thus it was showing in my library.

I downloaded through steam, I started, I had to create a Maniaplanet login. All was good, starting the game, logging into maniaplanet and then it told me: Key registration failed. Key is already in use.

& I got the DEMO version.. (80 minutes left and counting) Of course I asked steam support and the lovely answer was that they can't help with duplicate CD keys & I should contact the reseller.. I guess the person answering was still tired as the reseller is.. STEAM ^^

Anyhow, they aren't replying anymore to my emails and I have seen others have had the same problem but I can't quite figure it out.

I tried to install maniaplanet on my pc through the maniaplanet website, I tried to add the key into my maniaplanet profile but it says the same: key already in use.

Soooooooooooooooooooo, anyone can point me in some kind of direction ?

1 CD-Key=One account. After you use cd key for creating account you can't use for new account. There is lower than 0.000000000000000000000001% that steam give you wrong cd key. That's why there is only two option.

1. Account was already created with that cd-key and maybe you don't remeber that you created it or you don't know it that it has been already used.
2. You use wrong cd-key (right on game- View CD-Key)

There isn't other options, because is almost imposible for steam fault that he gave you wrong cd-key.

Now you can only try contact to Steam or ubisoft support.


BTW "I bought it through STEAM thus it was showing in my library." To be sure you bought game from here

ONE copy of game= ONE CD-Key=ONE account.
But i don't get it how to underdstand that what you wrote. You bought one copy of game as a gift and you sent it to your brother OR you bought game because your brother already have it and you wanted it too but after buy you still have demo?

If number one then I already explained to you. The only way is to download non steam version and play with your brother on this one account.

If second then use CD-Key to already existed account (it should automatic add to account after log-in to first account after first time playing) or create new one with this account (if you didn't already use this cd key).

I just contacted UBISOFT support. Basically they don't know, they escalated the issue..
