[SOLVED] Can't get past "MANIAPLANET Please Wait..."

I just bought the game yesterday and tried to start it up today only to find that I get this weird black and white screen, then the Maniaplanet screen and then nothing. It freezes there. I try to alt tab and nothing happens. I do control alt delete and the screen goes black. The only way out of this is to restart my computer. I dunno what the problem is but if anyone else is having this issue or if anyone has a suggestion on what I could do PLEASE let me know. I'm considering requesting a refund which is a last resort cause I really wanted this game.

If your stuck on the maniaplanet screennits normal give it a 5mins and sould work.

Left it up for 20ish minutes and still nothin. Had to reset again :/

Did you check out your firewall settings? Did you try to deactivate your antivirus? And did you check if nternet Explorer (even if you don't use it) is not set as offline mod?

The fix: open your steam friendlist and set your statut at OFFLINE, after there no freezes. It's very strange but it's works, I must play tm2 with my friendlist offline if I want to play correcly :) (it's not steam offline, it's just friend offline, your playtime is alway counted)

As far as I know it's not in offline mode. I have Internet Explorer 11 and there's no "Work offline" option anymore so I would assume it's in online mode. I tried the firewall and antivirus settings and none of that worked. Neither did the steam friends offline. I already submitted for a refund of the game. No point in going mad trying to fix a problem that no one has a solution to

Turns out it was my controller. For some odd and unknown reason Maniaplanet isn't compatible with the Nvidia Shield Controller. Prolly gonna have to go pick up and Xbox controller :/
