where has gone the splitscreen ??

Hi there,
I used to play trackmania with my son. Since the latest update, I cannot access the splitscreen multiplayer mode... does it still exist ? I just can see the "hotseat" option which is way way less fun (and not fully functional anyway as it never ends)
How come you can downgrade a purchased game like this ?? I still hope there is a way to get splitscreen multiplayer, please confirm and explain how to access.

Splitscreen is one of the features that has been temporarily removed for it to be reimplemented in the short to intermediate future.

Don't worry, you're not getting downgraded forever here, just simply a matter of development work that needs to be done and Splitscreen wasn't a high priority of things to be released with the big ManiaPlanet 4 update that came out a while ago.

If you're reliant on SplitScreen right this moment, you can download the standalone version of the old ManiaPlanet 3 version of TM² Stadium (please note that this version will not work with online servers):

If you don't want to install the MP3 version again, there is perhaps another possibility:
the user domino65 has created a special title that has the Splitscreen feature also:

It is working with MP4.
Small hint: do not move around too much in the main menu, otherwise it will crash and you will need to restart Maniaplanet to make the title work again.

@TMarc this will only work for people that own all titles, which I'm not sure if the user in question does in fact.

Hi downloaded the frozen version. It works fine with the splitscreen and the 3D, nother essential feature of past versions of trackmania in my own opinion.

You can still play splitscreen you just have to make your own titlepack (which takes like 30 seconds) and it will load into the old version of the menu which has the split screen option. I've tried it and it works (2 and 4 player). There's a youtube video that can walk you through it. Obviously it's stupid they removed this from the default menu but the capability is still there.

2 years after Maniaplanet 4 update, still no other way to play splitscreen than doing a small titlepack. It's not that hard to do, honestly, but having just a menu option to launch a split screen mode wouldn't be that hard Nadeo, come on!
